It's not the dip of the driveway that's dangerous part for the Autobahn kit, it's the fact that the bumper sticks out 2 inches forward. I had 19" and it scraped... as long as you get some sort of splitter, it should be fine. If you lower it, have 19"s, and don't have splitters, I'll guarantee that it'll crack in less than a month.

With Lazi's kit, his doesn't stick out 2 inches forward, that's why he could get away with the dips.

Damn Danny, you're gonna be 'low ridin'. Should look pretty cool, just watch out for those speed bumps.

AHAHAHA! I should order splitters. I'm kinda lucky that I go to school I guess. Because I only drive 3 days a week, which is from LA to SD and back. So most of my inclines and dips would be from... gas stations and my driveway at home.
Thanks guys.

im not sure what gave you the idea he bought that car, ive owned the whole whopping amount of 2 cars ive owned in my life at 16 years old. the rx8 is titled and owned by my father, but that's not saying much because it just sits in the garage and never gets driven, its a year old and has a little over 3,000 miles, the majority of it from the first few weeks when we bought it to break it in by daily driving. i can drive it at my leisure and have a set of keys(althought i could care less about it now that i drive an FD, and he spends most of his time driving and modding his audi) and we're both going to be putting money into modifying it eventually and ownership will be transferred to me when im 18. i brought him to the Jtuned since he's mildy intrested in japanese cars and he was sitting in my car the majority of the time and was also walking around and doesn't know enough/give a **** about rotaries to go to a meet and chat, so you missed your chance. im trying to purge out the thoughts of how my motor would be blown if my father was taking care of my FD doing cold boosting, toasting the turbos without letting them cool, not checking oil or coolant, etc.

To summarize the above for those that don't want to read a novel, His dad owns the cars, he gets to drive them. The end.

Doing a night run? and calling us wussies? Big talk coming from a 16 year old kid, by law if you are 16 (which you are) you must be accompanied by an adult 25 years or older (your dad) if you plan on driving from 11:00pm to 5:00am. Looks like your night run might end a lilttle early...

im not propsing a 4 hour gran turismo through the santa monica mountain ranges i was thinking more along an hour trip through maybe mulholland raceway west, thats a 40 minute run at most, and around that time most commuter traffic has died down and a trip to the coast and back doesnt take long. and yes, im calling wuss, although i was being completely sarcastic, i was calling you a "wuss".

i already said in my last post i didnt buy an rx8, im 16 years old, its a feat i own an FD and im very proud of myself, from saving, working, investing and a ******* hell of a deal and smart buying i own an FD and no one my age drives a faster/nicer car at my school and i take pride in being able to have a car like that at my age. ive also owned an FC which i got for really cheap but that was sold in favor of the FD, as i wouldnt be able to insure the both of them.

my dad got the 8 as a car for both of us to enjoy and to build up and drive and the car was paid for in cash, the car was a lot less than the bracket he was buying in(80k+ sports car) but i have no idea what he was thinking but he liked the rx8 and wanted that so thats how we ended up with the rx8.

i don't own the car, i didnt buy it but he's giving it to me when im 18 but i guess thats a privelage in coming from a hardworking immigrant family. i have no secrets or anything, i just have saved money and invest wisely, i have no get rich quick schemes or good paying easy jobs for you. youd be amazed how much money one can aquire by not paying taxes, and having food and board paid for by your parents by law. :

rodger, it looks like my tactic worked and we may get people to want to go drive after!
