just heard from someone that it costed him 4 grand less to do the ls1 motor then to redo another 13b twin turbo. so i guess thats a good enough reason. nothing against it, its a nice car. but i still like rotary. maybe thats just me though.
No it cost me more... By about $4-6K to do the LS1....
The issue was Forced Induction + Rotray = Danger Will Robinson! I blew two motors due to reasons nobody can really say, WOW, That was YOUR fault...
1'st ECU Reset itself back to factory defaults during WOT...
2'nd Tank of bad gas....
I can't afford to pay $4-6K for a rebuild every 18 mo....
Definitely not now that I have a mortgage... SO I needed to make One Last effort to save the car from going to the junk yard or getting sold to some poor kid that wanted to "Go Mad Drift'n Yo"....
3 Rotor was the next best thing for 300+ N.A. HP... but $30k is a bit much ! Ls1 was all that was left on the table...
