haha, Yeah, sadly.
when I raced Wing 5 I had a good launch, but when I raced Rotary Rasp, I wheel hopped like a wrabbit as i saw him pulling on me, haha.

He launches very well, Im not a launcher at all. (I dont believe the 8 was meant to be a launching car)

but yeah, once I hit 2nd gear, its over. but he DID take me from a stop.

Apperantly a better launcher beats a car with a lot of power but not a pro launcher.

haha- you got smoked by a stock rx8!

from a roll, romeo's car is a lot faster than a stock 8.

(just don't do any 0-60's till you get some practice under your belt)

rom, what rpm were you launching at? It also has to do with your tires. You need better tires, but MIchael was on stockies as well..so..

 

both of our tires are stock Bald tires, lol.
I was launching at a super low RPM, like 3grand, but i dumped the clutch and didnt feather it.

1st gear really comes down to the driver. Even a bone stock rx-8 can smoke the tires from a dig. If we had kept going you would have passed me by the top of 2nd or the bottom of 3rd gear.

 

Im really surprised I didnt get pulled over when I flew by those 3 cops with my Intercooler glow on and all, lol.

rodger is right, your turbo rx8 vs a stock rx8 is not making much more torque in 1st gear..so yes it comes down to the driver
