I am trying to work with a manufacturer to have some hood dampers made, but I need someone in LA/City of Industry area to go and get fitted up.

First one to PM me and get scheduled will be taken care of.

They prefer someone with a stock hood.

what's a hood damper, and do i need one?

 

hood dampers are those (pressurized?) springs for your hood that allow your hood to open and stay up without the stick thing.

i have a set of tein hood dampers and hood dampers are nice to have. that damn prop rod doesnt get in the way anymore

As soon as we have them fitted up, I will be able to answer to price.

They are really easy to install. In fact I installed the ones on the pictured S2K in about 10 Mins. in the dark. I will take a pic on the Protege kits so you can see what is in the box.

They basically place a ball braket under one of the factory hood bolts. Then replace one of the fender bolts with the supplied ball bolt, attache the damper and slide in the retaining pins.

Tha hardest part is lining up the retaining pins as they are about the size of a sewing needle.

Should add some show points and they def make it easier to work under the hood.

They will come in a polished finish or Carbon. As soon as we are fitted up I will be able ot post up pics.
