heh, yeah i should probably give a refresher on that corner...

i figured out several strats on attacking the corner depending on what your trying to do...

if your trying to steal the pass, you want to dive inside hot and scrub the speed off via a drift...but you lose time...

if your simply trying to take the corner as fast as possible...you want to stick outside and let off the throttle taking a late turn-in...and counter to what i said before...due to the torque curve of the karts, you want to wait until you clear the corner 3/4 or 100% before reapplying...

 

You know one thing I totally forgot last time was these karts don't have ABS.. and I totally forgot about brake pumping. Do you think that would help in corners?

 

heh...im soo tempted to say yes...just to see the epic spin...

but unfortunately...no...

in all racing you want to perform straight-line braking to scrub off speed and let off before performing your turn-in...you want the car/kart to be "settled" before making the turn-in.

exception is something called trail-braking...but dont worry about that for meow...

you never ever ever want to use the brakes IN the corner...especially the brakes on the kart unless your TRYING to get it to slide or drift...and even then, you want to lightly apply and not mash...mashing these brakes due to its single side brake, always promotes a right handed spin...

Brake pumping is just a horrible idea in general for any sort of competitive driving.

 

no brake pumping. Go into the turn as fast as you can, mash brakes, find your line, accelerate hard coming out.

 

NO BUMPING
