Angry Is it just me or . .. .

is everyone crazy homeless person trying to get run over by my car? THis happened about 4 times already this week, just random derilect people crossing right in front of me almost getting hit. And today some dumb *** is crossing the street I make a right turn behind him and he walks immediately back right into my car almost walking into it as I finished the turn!
All in a weeks worth of driving my 8, and the melty plastic feeling I get when I go fast.

Nope, not just you, all crazy homeless people are like that. Most of the time, I notice them trying to cross the street.. SLOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWLY when the light turns green. So basically, you can't really get across the road until the **** gets out of the way but of course they're taking their sweet time so you won't be able to get out there anytime soon.

As far as the last one, someone reversing their direction in the crosswalk, remember that as a driver you are not supposed to enter the crosswalk at all until the pedestrian has gotten completely to the other side. At least that's the law in CA but lord knows nobody ever obeys it. Having been nearly run over DAILY as a pedestrian in SF for about 6 years, I have a chip on my shoulder when it comes to the way motorists flagrantly disregard human life in the interest of saving a couple of seconds of their own time. Also I'm a cyclist so I'm frequent witness to the way that drivers use their vehicles in a threatening manner without even blinking an eye.

Sorry about laying this down on your thread, but keep in mind that a battle between a car and a pedestrian means the pedestrian always loses.

The problem is, sometimes they're pushing rusty shopping carts so you'll have to risk hitting that as well.

The problem is, most of the time, pedestrians seems to like to walk really slow across the streets. I understand that we're talk to walk, not run when crossing the street, but god damn, can you go a little bit faster? It's not just me that has to cross you know, there's about 10 other cars in line behind me waiting to turn as well!! That's just me, especially on crowded streets, it makes things even worse. But hey I'm just glad I"m not driving in some third world country where people just jump out without even looking at traffic.. although where I work, it's close enough.
