I want to go to your meets but Fridays/Saturdays are hard to attend =/

 

When I first joined the Rotary Army the SoCal club was having meets every month on the first saturday.
At first, there were only a couple cities to choose from but one by one more and more cities kept popping up.

Before they knew it, they were spread WAAAAYY too thin and pretty much all the meets fizzled out.
I think the closest one to OC is now in Torrance.

I guess with so many meets out there happening so often, I think they seem to lose some of their flare. People used to get excited about a once a month event where they could chat with other Rotorheads and would count down the days.

In life, I refer to things like this as the "Ferrari Clause". Yes, Ferrari's are awesome cars but SEEING them from time to time is what REALLY makes them special!! If you saw them all the time, would you really get so excited over them???

 

okay, okay. No Irvine meet for now..

 

We'll have to gauge the interest. The SoCal RX meets were I guess targeted at a different age group. Plus those meets are only down to one now.

Anyways.. we can see to setting up a monthly meet, because the only monthly I know of is LAX and thats far. I can offer free food as an incentive.

From Irvine it is almost same distance to Walnut and Stanton so we're stuck in the middle. I know for sure there are a lot of guys here who live/work around Irvine. Plus.. the other two meets always ends up in a lounge or strip club.

i think the only meets we should have are the Autobacs meet and the Walnut meet...unlessssss toothfairy can manage to bring more "friends" to this soooo called irvine meet and make it happen, thennnnn mayyyybe an irvine meet once a month wouldnt hurt.

 

as of right now, we have a meet every single week, excluding the SB meet and LAX meet which happens once a month..................

if the Irvine meet was to happen it would be

2+2+1+1+1 = 7meets a month...........

well ive only gone to the autobacs, walnut, and lax once...so thats only 2 meets in my book...and of course the once a year meet SS.

I can maybe make 1 walnut meet 1 LAX meet and possibly 1 autobacs meet. It seriously isn't that many. No one is forcing you to attend all of the meets. Just attend those that you want to go. I mean if all meets go monthly we would only have 3 meets.

lol, most of the time john and the autobacs crew (I've been kicked out because I can't go its 21+) take it to the lounge after the meet
