I don't see nearly enough 8's. Not too long ago I was driving by a glass store front and was admiring my car in the reflection :p and smacked a speed bump pretty good :o

You guys just live in the wrong part of town. Man, down here on the Southeast side of town I see at least 2 or 3 8s on my way into work everyday. In fact, I saw 2 blue ones within a half mile of each other last night on 40th street. :D

 

saw you get off the 51st ave and I-10 ramp heading west. I was on the right of you in the red. I saw you again.

 

Ahh don't feel bad no ones see me too, i've seen like 1 8 in the last month so i'm not seeing a lot of people myself lol

 

I see quite a few 8's also driving in the south chandler area and for those that know me... I've just added to the 8 traffic. The wife and I added a second 8 to the family on Saturday. So now I've got an 04 Red, sport, appearance, rear spoiler, 6MT, and the wife has an 05 Tit Silver, touring, AT. Garage looks cool with two 8s side by side.

Only down side is that I lost one bay worth of workshop space when we moved the Oddessy over to the third bay (but I needed the space).

spotted a ti grey headed west on the 10 sunday night at about 7:00. i was in the carpool lane going at least 25 over the speed limit so you may not have seen me as you were moving with the flow of traffic....

 

I saw a blue 8 headed east on Bell at 87th ave today about 12:30 pm. Really noticible because it had Silver racing stripes starting from the hood over the cab and ending on the rear bumper. Also has the same color stripes on the bottom of the doors. I know it wasn't Blue-J.

So anyone here?

Anyway I see at least 2 8's when driving the wifes Saturn and no 8's when I driving my 8.
Does the yellow scare other 8's away?

 

Is everyone SLEEPING?? John just bought a second 8 this past weekend and NO COMMENTS?? Come on..... I mean, how many club members can say they own 2 RX-8s huh?? I can't even get my wife to agree on one, yet alone two. Congrats John!!!!

Thanks for the kind words. Now the fun begins... trying to get the wife motivated to come out to RCCAZ events. The seed's been planted though. She was grinning from ear to ear when she got home after the first drive home. Any suggestions on how to keep the kids from drooling all over it ... thoughts on filters to eliminate the "Mom, can I drive the RX-8 tonight?" requests?

Yes I got a "Can I drive filter" for you. Tell them as soon as they start taking over the payments they can drive it. Also when they have enough saved up to repair any damage. :D

 

I detroyed 2 of my parents cars between the ages of 16-19. There was a rule in place that I could only drive to work. It should have been I'll drive you to work till you save enough to buy your own car or at least till you save the money for the insurance deductable. Yes I was a punk kid The accidents were not on purpose but definately could have been avoided when I look back on them. Experience and growing up play a big part. If I was driving an 8 I would have killed myself or someone else for sure.

Even though we didn't have much I never really understood the value of money till I had to pay my own way. ie rent, insurance, car_payments etc. Not to mention I thought I was invencible till I was about 23.

 

I saw a Ti gray 8 tonight Driver by a Chick w/ a long ponytail!! Woo Hoo Anyway we passed each other a few times on Bell, looked over each others 8, nodded heads. I went straight on Bell and she turned onto 101 S..

Saw black 8 in Queen Creek this morning, had black/gun metal wheels. I was walking my dog as you whizzed past me... I live in the same neighborhood.

Good points. Like most kids I too bent some metal in the early years. Out of my three boys, one's had two accidents, ones had one accident, the other, fingers crossed, has been accident free. Of course the two that have tagged things did so in my cars (they were at falt). The one that is accident free is driving his own car. Hmmmm. Maybe there's a message there.

Back on track here: Saw a sunlight silver yesterday on SanTan at Arizona around 5:50pm and just down the road a saw a dark green 8 crossing arizona at Octitillo. Tonight I was in front of a sunlight silver at Kyrene and the SanTan at approx 9:00 PM.

Titanium @ Fry's on 43rd & Bell on Sunday Night, I think they work there because I see it there all the time.

 

I've seen that car almost everytime I go to Discount Tire and Game Stop. Been tempted to leave a note since it doesn't seem to belong to anyone here.

lol. Man please tell me you are not supporting Hobby Bench. Their markup is insane. Try Frank's Hobby House on Cactus and 32nd St. Trust me there prices will make it more then worth the extra drive. Tell Martie or Tony I sent you.

Edit - There is also a new hobby shop down 35th Ave that had really good prices. The only prob is that it is small and he needs to order what he doesn't have. Takes about a week according to him.

 

I haven't supported HB since my friend Eric left. Tower hobbies or Franks.
