hell yeah I would love empty myself. I live in Rosemead, work in pasadena. It takes me anywhere from 45 to an hour to get work all streets depending on the day of the week. Then from there I go school in La Verne which takes another hour and half to 2 hours. Just like Renesis SE3P said, my gas spending sucks, but I LOVE IT!

i check the traffic anytime i'm about to go anywhere. you put in where you're at and where you're going and the site gives you how long it'll take if you go the direct route, and also gives you the shortest route (time wise) to your destination along with drive details showing how bad traffic is and directions. it's awesome!!

 

I have window's live mobile on my phone, along with google maps. Live and die by that for my commutes, and yes I love sigalert.com and traffic.com haha

 

To be honest count yourself lucky you didnt go. I went for a year to get the technical training I needed to be a photographer and then ran away from that place.

50,000 in debt now for that one year of school.

The teachers were great dont get me wrong, they loved their job and were great but the company that owns the school now just wanted more and more money. so they were busing kids in by the metric **** ton.

I started with about 15-20 people in my class... by the time I was done with my first year i had about 45 people in my class.

I'm glad I went and got the training I did, but I'm SOOOO glad I left when I did.

 

wow. happy i made the right decision. and ya, i definitely saw the money hungry side of the school. the fact that they don't supply any chemicals for students to develop their film or photos was ridiculous to me. and with that, having to carry all your **** around with you all over the campus that didn't have any sturdy walk ways, the campus being an old 1920's mansion and all, those cobble stones were just waiting for someone to face plant it on a rainy day

 

You laugh.... I won't say I fell... no.. of course... not.. it was my friend... yah thats it.


But yah... not to mention they had campuses all over Santa Barbara... which was a pain in the ***. One session I had a class on the North side of the city... right on the edge pretty much near the Misson... and then right after that I had my photo class on the OTHER end of town.... sucked tryin to make it there.... but great driving experience what with the one way roads and all :D

Oh and not to mention the Mansion was haunted as ****. Being awake until 1am in the dark room at that place can really **** with you..... let me tell ya.

although it was kinda fun to mix your own chemicals sometimes... you and a group of friends all pitch in and have a lil party in the dark room making the ****, just BSing and having a good time.

and don't worry, i eat **** just about everywhere. i have the scars and bruises to prove it haha. they're battle wounds now

and omg!! i heard about the hauntings!!!!
dude, that would've scared the **** out of me. being stuck in the developing hallways and just feeling a breeze go by. or a whisper in your ear. omg. goose bumps galore.

 

Or like my friend saw in the bathroom a white robed girl behind you for a split second.

But yah... I have heard some crazy ****** stories from one of my teachers that had been there for ages.... and some from one of the newer teachers as well.

Pretty freaky.

^ Couldnt camp out... the closed it up at 1 or 2 in the am every night.... I talked to some of the "TAs" that helped run the place and they had some good stories about closing up and the doors not wanting to stay closed....

 

that would be so much fun to be able to camp out in one of the rooms for a night. it would totally be an "Are You Afraid of the Dark" episode

lol. goosebumps scared the living **** out of me. the one with the dude who got his head cut off and lived under the stair case. my god. i couldn't walk by my stairs or go up them without having my dad around to kick his *** just in case he popped out.
