Wassup! I'm from Ewa Beach. I just picked mines up this past Tuesday the 27th.

 

congrats! what are your first impressions? what dealer did you honor with your business? i got mine from JN Mazda.

I'm so in love with this car. The handling on this car is just sweet. I also got mine from JN Mazda. Mine is black with the Touring Package.

there are at least 5 of us, enuff to make a small cruise. you guys interested? i was thinking about first saturday night in March. the standard route.

start at keyholes, down Ala Moana, through Waikiki, around Daimond Head/ triangle park/ Kahala esses, all the way down to Kahala Mandrin, turn left at Kalnianaole Hwy., down to Sandys and head back into town on H1. the ride will take about 2 hours.

I'm always down for a cruise. Just as long as I'm not working during at the time.

 

Alohas all! Just got mine on the 14th. It was a Valentines Day/Anniversary "gift." Needed a second set of wheels for the upcoming baby girl. Why not an RX-8??? Had the car for three days, and had to put it in the shop for replacement of the rear cross support under the driveshaft. Was "forced" into hitting a no-kidding catalytic converter in the middle of the road at night. Had nowhere to go and couldn't get completely stopped in time. Wasn't happy, but at least it caused only minimal damaged.

Anyhow, got a Nordic Green GT MT, Chaparral leather, appearance package, spoiler, etc from Cutter Waipahu. It's great seeing you all out and about, except while mines in the shop. Sniff, sniff...

That sucks man... You got a sweet car though. I actually sat down at the dealer for 3 hours trying to work a deal on that exact car. Some kid named Andre and another guy named James tried to work a deal with me. They didn't meet my price so I left...

Got the car back; $250 for the entire fix. No collateral damage, luckily. They also did the airbag recall while it was in, so that'll save me a trip in again later.

RX-8 Nut: I ended up giving them 700 over MSRP. I was okay with it, considering they started out asking some ungodly amount (near 39k). Could have gotten it a little cheaper, but hey, I'm happy with what I got, you know?

Has anyone terrorized Tantalus with their 8 yet?!? I've always enjoyed the relazing cruise through there on my bike, but haven't been up there as of yet with the car. Maybe this afternoon...

 

Damn seems like most of the 8's are in oahu, there are about 4-6 on the bigisland--I kinda like it this way only a couple people with this car, turns alot more heads!

so if ya dont mind me asking how much diffrent were the price diffrents between oahu and hilo.

I paid about 34thou with a 6 year warranty on the car as well as the tires. 5.1% on my loan no money down!

FYI--I just got a notice on a recall for the airbags as well as the dynamic damper heat insulator. Just so happens my vin # falls between those getting recalled. I called Mazda and they said that i need to bring it to the shop asap so that they can work on it to correct these issues.
