Front Lower Control Arm.

Ive been reading and it seems like this could be an easy job to replace my front driver's side lower control arm. Have any of you guys done this? Any special tools or tips?

its like installing your springs straight forward, just remember to torque it down to specs and you will need an alignment after

do i have to take off my shock? or is it just straight unbolt and replace and bolt back up?

unbolt it from the botom its pretty straight forward, i did it on my gli after understeering and hydroplaning into a curb

ya, long story short i hit a curb. so i need to replace my LCA, then get it alligned huh? and thanks mike : )

no pro it happened to me when i was 17 i was ****** hualing *** late to school take a turn in my neigborhood and unexpected water +slick tires =60+ turn i understeered into a curb

damn did u have to replace anything else... and i guess im lucky i hit only at 15 mph.

i only had to change lower control arm and buy a new rim, cause my tsws i had on there blew up on contact haha

damn that sucks haha, you should of bought one of those "wire rims" like that other thread haha,
and lucky me no damage to rims or anything, i guess it was so cooled out the just slight impact and my LCA just snappeed. whatevssss though. hahah

HAHAHa i was about to say that, i think im gonna buy a sticker "drift happens" and put it at a 45 degree angle where my bumper got scratched
