Emission Recall

my stickers expired at June, so I wonder why the DMV took so long to mail me my stickers, finally have time today to make some phone call, and they said the reason why my stickers were held is because i need a correction i have to proof from a authorized dealer. and when I asked her what the hell is that she told me it's a emission recall #03305G. so until I fix that I can't drive the car. Does anyone have this problem before?

same here. I was about to send the check and I saw that they need proof of the emission recall. Gotta make an appointment with a dealer ASAP.

did you ever get the Recall done?

Recall #3405G is for the Lower Arm Ball joint that affected certain '04 RX-8's

(adding this in case you never got it done)

Recall #3305G is for the heat shield issue that some 04 and 05 cars had. It's a very simple repair, you'll have your car in and out of the dealership the same day.

In California, if you have outstanding recalls the DMV won't let you register your car. This is done mainly because many recalls are SAFETY related and it's for the driver's own good. (not really the case here but still falls under the same code)

What does a heat shield and a lower control arm ball joint have to do with emissions?
