Eltoro Prosolo..

The prosolo registration is now open... If you think you want to do this at all sign up now, this could be full in a week.

Ulllose....couldn't find any registered cars for SM....the entry list only gave 6 car classes. Is this because no one has registered for the class yet, or is it that the car classes are different for ProSolo?

Looks like the event costs 85 dollars. Is this for both days? I would also need to get an SCCA Card and pay region dues for Cal Club?

It only list the classes of people that have signed up... $85 is for both days and you must be an SCCA member. You can do it all online.

I'll see if I can figure it out tonight after work.

In looking at the entry form...which would be appropriate for me to put for contigency...not that I will win, but just in case.

Mazdaspeed, Kumho?

If you are not going to be in the top 3 don't worry about it. However if you feel lucky the ones to check are Mazda, Kumho and Hawk. I have not seen the 2007 pay outs but those three are good ones.

btw if you join San Diego Region SCCA it is like $10 less a year than Cal Club.

I do plan on racing down in SD this year, more than I did in 2006...and you actually get a registration discount with an SCCA card at the SD events. The SD region card doesnt give you any discounts, just a number for the year.

What region you belong to does not effect where you run or what discounts you get. As an SCCA member you get the member price in any region/city/state, SportsCar magazine and better event insurance coverage.

The added number card and club BS is just some stupid crap these socal clubs do. The number/points card/club crap has nothing to do with being an SCCA member it is just a way for the local club to stick you for a few extra bucks and confuse newbies.

I've gone to that damn SCCA web site twice and have been frustrated each time. Each time I click on the Join Now button it starts to load the mebership application and then it dissapears. I emailed them, to ask them how to navigate their web site. I may have to register the old fashion way.....pony mail.

I'm in. Got my SCCA card and have registered for El Toro. Computer at work, which is blocked from many things....had no problems with the SCCA website....must be something wrong with my browser settings at home.

Registered for SM....

Sent a pm to Speeddemon32, but he doesn't think he will be able to go. I did pass along the info you shared with me about this possibly being one of the last years for the Pro Solo.
