Hey guys!

Rotary Reliability and Racing just got their Dynojet installed! They are going to be doing dyno pulls on the last week of November or the First week of December. Pricing will vary based upon participation. I am thinking it will be around $40. When we get a firm date set, I will update this message.

Also, anyone with an emanage that wants some assistance tuning, I will be onhand during the dyno day to help tune those little bastages out.

I am trying to talk them into doing something crazy cheap for the dyno day, but don't know if that will happen, as they just ate some huge costs to get the dyno in. You guys might want to give them a call to get them excited and drop the price.

Might not be a bad place to get some service done on your rotary either. I have been going there for awhile, and the owner Nick Van Nugteren, has been racing rotaries for quite some time. They even hold a Bonneville record (I should say held it was broken by Racing Beat).

So it looks like the last week in November or First week in december.

That's my mechanic and they've always taken care of me. I'll call Nick and Lou to get the scoop on the dyno. About time we have another one in OC.

FYI... Rotary Reliability and Racing/Fast Freddys on Harbor/Warner in Santa Ana is not affiliated with RRR in Upland, CA. There's been mix-ups in the past.

 

Hey.. now we have two threads about a dyno but no date as of yet... We should all get together for this and have a huge dyno day... We might be able to talk down the price too....

Nick and the crew said the hoist they ordered keeps getting delayed. I spoke with them about a week and a half ago, and they said they are looking towards early december.

Are they able to install them on mine? Are they reputable?

They have been around for a long time. They haven't worked on my car yet, but they have refered to me by a reliable source. I trust that source.

I've had work done by RRR on my 3rd gen rx-7. They're reputable and Nick/Luis know RX-7s and rotary engines. Very reasonable prices too.
$30 a run is a steal!

 

so any confirmed dates on the group dyno/BBQ session? I would love to be there and do a few runs!

Hi Dave nice to hear from you again. Come on down. I'll be there.

 

Yeah.. I got into an accident and didnt have my car for about 5 1/2 weeks.. Thats way too long to fix it! All they had to do was replace suspension components and some body work panels.. Oh well.. I am going to Ca. Speedway that same day so I am trying to figure out if I can go.. I want to work something out. What time are you going?

Yeah.. Maybe i'll go in the morning and then head over to CA. Speedway later in the day... Sounds good to me.... I think there is a good chance i'll go.

There is one maybe two slots open for drive-ups... the catch is that you might have to be there the whole day to slot in.

Hey I got 163.77 RWP in 3rd gear at 7,200 RPM before the DSC kicked in.

Is that any good?

 

I guess we have similar number, these are my numbers:

Run 1. 163.09HP / 119.95 TQ, 84.16F temp, 25% Humidity
Run 2. 161.99HP / 121.10 TQ, 85.10F temp, 24% Humidity
Run 3. 161.92HP / 119.98 TQ, 86.19F temp, 24% Humidity
