next SoCal dyno day will be early 2011.
We're not doing an after SS dyno meet as I'm told the mad scientist (aka MM) is heading back for a track event on sunday.

I am dragging my feet on the schedule but it will be up soon.

Who is up for a Dyno day BBQ? I can put my BBQ in the back of my truck and bring it down. I was thinking a tri-tip and some hot links and if a few people can bring some sides, water and soda, we can have a good spread. So I am makign a list, put your name down for what you want to do. I will bring a cooler with ice, so if you bring drinks or food that needs to stay cold, you can put it in my cooler. If you pick an item, please bring enough for 12 people. If you dont want to bring something, throw in $5 and I will get it.

BBQ list:
Tri-tip: Highway8
Plates: napkins, cups and silverware: Highway8
Potato Salad:
Pasta Salad:
Chips:
Soda:
Water:
Desert (cookies or brownies):
Other (Fill in):
Other (Fill in)

Pay $5

EDIT _ Never mind "ModelNo15", I figured out who you are. I have your unit in hand.

What is "ShowandDriftRX8"'s real name?

Sometime in the early morning I will need someone to give me a ride to my house to pick up my truck with the BBQ and cooler with ice. Its only about 15 minutes from the dyno shop. I will also need someone to drive my truck back to my house in the afternoon and ride back with me in my car. Dont everyone fight over this

Give Highway8 a ride to pick up BBQ: rxnincj
Return highway8's truck to house and ride back in a 300+ WHP supercharged rx8: rxnincj

To everyone with an AccessPORT in their possession - run the updater and make sure you have the most current firmware installed.
You must have the most current firmware or I will have to do it for you at the dyno day and it will cut significantly into your tuning time (it can take up to 20 minutes, depending on the quality of the internet connection).

For those of us yet without an AccessPORT in possession (I believe I'm not the only one, therefore asking this in open forum): is there anything special we need to prep the car? Is there any particular time slot/requirement for to best facilitate your installing it?

Nope, Jeff will install it. No prep needed.

2 days to go!

Have your car in good working order. If it's been awhile since you've changed your plugs, air filter, tranny fluid, diff fluid, etc etc.. do it before the dyno day.

Having some worries about plug wires, weird noise, strange smell? Get that stuff checked out before hand. There's nothing worse then seeing a car get up on the dyno only to find out something is wrong and no dyno can be done on it.

There isn't time to run down gremlins and anything more then a minor issue (ie: oh, that vacuum line fell off.. that coupler is loose) will result in you wasting your time fixing it and then hoping there's enough time to get back on the dyno at the end.

I guess I should really get around to finishing the supercharger install and fix that BHR radiator leak.

I do have a remote oil filter install I want to do but I think I will wait. My luck I will break something.

Midpipes will be switched tonight.

nah, just bring a hose to keep water flowing into the core. And you can always duplicate the SC with one of these: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...d=330385801526

Racers tape works great, seriously it does. Not a permanent fix but a good thing to have at all times. I will be bringing some just in case.

Damn, I spent all that money on a procharger and I could have gone with that sweat ebay unit. Install 2 of those for each rotor and I could have gotten to 300HP for $200. I guess you live and learn.

1000HP is a little fair fetched dont you think? 550 WHP sound about right though. Sounds like a good project for you Laythor.
