my buddy's bike got stolen last night in west la/culver city area. Please keep an eye out for it.

This is it. Its his 2nd bike stolen this year......

 

Dang . Does he park outside or ?

Hope it gets recovered or insurance....

**** sucks, Bikes are being stolen here like crazy. One of my employees had his CBR stolen and he would usually park it inside his apartment. One of the few times he didn't it was stolen. What is this world coming too.

 

If I were an insurance company, I would not insure anyone who didn't have a garage to park their bike in. They're just too easy to steal.

In Tampa, we've had people stop at Autozone and when they came out of the store, the bike was long gone. Just a 5 minute stop is more than enough time..

 

all you really need is maybe 3 guys and pickup truck

but yea the bike was parked in a gated garage between 2 cars

 

that sucks, he should keep an eye on ebay or craiglist just in case the thieves decide to sell it in pieces.

I definitely recommend using an alarm system like the scorpio on your bike for those situations when you have to go inside a store or park it at the starbucks.
I have one on my 1098--and while this won't stop someone from loading it onto to a truck--the system will emit a loud chirp while it notifies me through the remote control that someone is messing with the bike.
that was a cool 749 too.
