13.4 pounds = 214.4 ounces

214/12 = 17.9 cans

oh crap, I just did the math.

I drank 6 liters of beer that night. 1 Liter = 33.8 ounces
For reference, a Corona is 12 ounces.

That comes out 16.9 beers! All of that was consumed over dinner!
omg, how am I not dead?

28oz is a pound right? So that's just a little over two beer cans. So he drank a little over 28 12oz beers.

Fluid ounce =/= ounce (unit of mass) this is where I got messed up - a can of beer does not weigh 12 ounces

^OMG look at my calculation mines right!

13.lbs = 214.4 oz

thus

214.4 oz / 12oz (can of beer) = 17.833333 <- round that off and thats 17.9 cans

dozer: how'd you come up with the 13.4 lbs?
I was drinking Liters of beer. I then took how many fluid ounces = a liter and went from there.

Correct you would have to physically weigh a can of beer on a scale to get its mass. I think dozer has it right though either way its a hell of a lot of beer

jedi- joey said you drink 13.4 lbs of beer

now convert 13.4 lbs to ounces ( 12 ounces to the can of beer)

13.4 = 214.4 ounces

now divide 214.4 ounces by 12 (one can of beer) you get 17.83333, if you round that off its 17.9

get it?

Dozer I don't think that is correct you are converting from a unit of volume to a unit of weight.

A can of beer contains 12 FLUID ounces.

A 12 fluid ounce can of beer would not weigh the same as a 12 fluid ounce can of water. We don't know how many pounds of beer Jedi drank because we don't know how much the beer weighed, we only know how much volume he drank. This is getting super scientific.

+1 to Rev.

Either way, it was WAY TOO much beer. Probably not something I'll repeat at next year's Vegas Trip.
(speaking of which, you ***** need to go next year!)

Okay here is the real total. A 12oz cans fluid weighs 1.0425 pound without the can. So jedi drank 13 to 14 beers.

6 litters = 13.68lb
12 fluid oz = 1.0425lb
÷ 13.68 with 1.0425 = 13.12 cans of beer.
