a new or newer 8 could be had for that price.

i got mine for 25.6k and only 5,700 miles on it when i first bought it. besides the MS kit, and a few of the other mods, our cars were nearly identical.

so yea.....at 28k, i doubt it'll sell anytime soon.

The price was on purpose to make sure nobody would buy it.

He was hoping to walk away from it free and clear. That's why the price is so high.
If he didn't get free/clear, he'd be buying another car for less money, adding the money he still owed on his eight, and he'd still be in the same place financially, but with a cheaper car.
The whole idea was to lower his monthly cost towards cars.
He and his girlfriend both have 8's, and both drive a lot for work.
He spends more in gas, then his car payment.
Multiply that by 2 cars, and you have over 4 car payments going towards maintaining 2 vehicles. Granted, they're to nice vehicles, but that's a lot of money.

wow, I feel like everyone was talking behind my back...

yeah, basically what Cesar was saying...it was costing me nearly as much as my house payment, to keep my car. And, then, multiply that by two and it wasn't affordable to have the two 8s.

I still owe 28 K on the car, so I am significantly upside down on the car, but don't think it is reasonable at this point to put the money that I still owe on the car, into a cheaper car. (I would end u8p having the same monthly car payment....only cheaper for insurance and gas).....

I am at the point in my payments on the car, where most of the payment is going to principal...so I figure, in about 8-9 months I will be even and able to sell it for Blue book Value.

Once I get to this point, I will be parting out what the new buyer doesn't want, and what I can harvest and place on the white 8. Snow and I continue to want to auto cross, so those components are the most important to me. I love the wheels, but Snow has wheels she likes, and she doesn't really like the black white combo....so, time will tell.

I'm not too excited about selling the car, so I have priced it a little high....I thought that someone would be interested in the car at that price, because of the kit and other things on the car...but given that this is my 3rd customized car, I am still learning about the dminishing returns you get from money invested into a customized car.

So, I anticipate having that car for another 4 or 5 months, or until someone shows interest in the car....

Ja, it won't sell for that price, especially with a burnt clutch.

If it was 28k for everything on the car it would be different.

His cars only worth 23k with no mods in perfect condition which it's not.

That means it's worth 21k, but it has high milage, so it's even worth less.

So, 20 k plus all the Mods don't add up to 28k.

Umm, simple interest loans don't really work like that unless you're putting more money directly at the principal every month.

You'll also have another 9 months of depreciation on your car by March so KBB will be even less.
