So I took it yesterday and had him sit in the car with me so I could show him the sound it makes. He said it doesn't too troublesome. Probably have to adjust some synchros or something and to take it in on monday.

 

Sorry to hear about your tranny problem Miguel, hopefully the dealer fixes the problem. If the problem continues you might get them with the Lemon Law.

Heck they should replace your tranny all together.

I just got a call back from them. They were told not to take it apart or even touch it. He said they had a foreman or field guy come out and test drive it for about 5 miles. The service manager at the dealer even showed him how it makes that high pitch grind and even when you shift it slowly into 3rd gear it'll occasionally grind. The foreman said under normal driving conditions there is nothing wrong so they aren't going to do anything. It makes me soooo pissed off cause my car never did that before I took in the last time. The only problem I had was the 4th gear, they took care of that. They had to take it to some other mechanic's shop to put the drive shafts in and stuff becuase the mechanics at the dealership couldn't do it. So I'm assuming something has to be wrong with the way it was put in. And the service manager when I showed him even said the synchros probably need to be adjusted.

 

Sonds like the dealer did not handle the situation in a perfessional manner, Try to see if you can get everything in writing and try calling CONSUMER AFFAIRS and tell them what has been going on.
