Bay Area/ Nor Cal Community Chat Thread
I currently am flying Southwest Airlines and will be leaving Friday, but if you're interested we can rent a car. I don't want to bring the car down again a week after it came up and a week before it'll go down permanently.

I'm 27/931 in Cobalt and 11/30 in Vette shoot-out overall. Now you know why autox crushes racing on the street (j/k).
ps. Not all hotshots show up. I didn't drive well against my potential, and only got one run in Vette instead of two. First time driving a Vette too.

That being said, you beat my time by a little under than 1 second

Btw racing on the street always blows lol
sub-29sec is not bad, though the overall ranking is based on your index score, not raw time.
rx-8 will be up at 9am this Sun@Oakland Coliseum.
you learn very quickly on how to be humble at autox. there is always someone faster than you.

Yuch! This reminds me of this little diner back in college where the waitress caught the cook whacking-off to the pancake batter.
You are supposed to strip all the old wax down to clear-coat by using dish detergent that cuts thru grease. Clay bar over existing wax-applied surface is like ........ (using any inappropriate analogy you like).
Don't use dish detergent as it dries out the rubber seals over time. Claybar is very good at removing anything on top of your paint and that includes the wax. Every time you clay bar, wax again as the wax you had on the car before you clayed will have been removed by the clay.
