Hey now! Im gonna go buy the new RX8 once they update or change it, hehe. But by that time ill be either back in MN or CO. My next car though is gonna be a subaru WRX!

Haha thats what i had. im telling you this now if you wanna mod it alot save your money and buy an sti. wrx tranny blows ***** lol.

Also union city is a pretty far drive just for a meet. If we were going to do a meet/drive then i would prob drive down their. I would go their a lot because i got my subie tuned at GST lol.

 

Wrx trannys are fine, it's the drivers who don't know how to drive a AWD car.

Tom, why are you concerdering a RX8 again? You are not going to like the MPG and start complaining again. Do some more research and pay off a car before you go upside down.

 

For a stock car or lightly modded wrx the tranny is okay. On my wrx i was pushing 305 awhp and 274 wtq at 20psi and the tranny was going out thats why i sold it. It depends on what you want to do with it.

 

That's true, but I keep hearing about kids reving up the engine and dumping the clutch off of first.

Yea i know some of those kids...... The sti with launch control is the only one id do that with lol. not only is duping the clutch in that call all bad for the tranny but its a good way to break an axle lol.

 

I test drove a 350z Nismo, an STI, and an EVO today. I hate them.

i havent seen the new sti or evo in person but i hate them both. subaru stole the style from the mazdaspeed3 and put a hood scoop on it. for the nismo z i like the look but ive only driven the normal z. i also choose the 8 over it =)

The new STi didn't steal anything. They changed the style to have better advantage in the rally. They wanted more weight in the rear to have better handling. Subie already had a few wagons, they just used it on the STI now.

 

No offense, but sometimes I wonder why you didnt buy a WRX or STI over the 8, you seem to have this love for them that is unconditional, despite the fact that recent changes have made the subaru's line up ugly as ****

 

It's just like how lots of people dont like the new look of the 8, I do. Or like how I'm one of the few people that still likes the second gen 7. It's not like I'm saying that the STI is better and drives better, hell I think the 8 drives way better. I just respect the Subie and always wanted a 2.5 RS. And I really don't want to be in the SubieClub, it's full of drama.

I just like to inform the uninformed of why companies do what they do instead of just spreading around false information.
