Sup guys,
I met some of you guys at rotorfest and I wanted to extend this invite to you. There's going to be an Import Meet at Treasure Island, November 4th, 2007 @ 12:00pm entitled "Back 2 The Basics" and hosted by a local and amateur car crew based out in the Northern California Area. There will be music, entertainment, and various types of cars at the meet. Food will also be provided, granted a $5 fee be graciously given at the time of the event. The purpose of this meet is to bring the Import Community together and to have a little rally before the Extreme Autofest Show in the following weeks. I know I dont really post that much on the forums and all, and you guys probably have a lot of better things to do than to show up at a meet hosted by a very amateur car crew, but showing your support would mean a lot to me, our crew, and the import community. We hope to have various types of cars to show up. I anticipate this meet to be a cool kick it and should be pretty fun. As with any group of people that are trying to get somewhere in this industry, it has to start somewhere and we figure that holding organized meets would be the best place to start. Where exactly are you coming from? Basicly you make your way over the bay bridge and you'll see the treasure island exit. The exit itself is right before the tunnel and its a left hand side exit. You'll take the exit, follow the road around and you'll be on treasure island. Go through the gates and it will be a little less then a mile down the street and the event will be on the right hand side. When you give me a location where your starting from i will give you actual directions.

Looks like a lot of the central valley 8's will roll out together. It may be about 10 from us and the bay area 8's look like they are going also.

Its right next to the water. You won't be able to miss it.

 

Doesn't TI have 2 areas though? The military base and the residential. When the meet gets closer you should post specific directions there to make sure nobody gets lost.

 

You went to rotorfest right? Its the same area that rotorfest was held. I'll post directions in the nex couple of days.

I went. All the 8's from the south bay are going to meet up and caravan up there so just keep in touch on the Bay Area forums and you can join us when we drive up there.

 

Here are som directions to treasure island

From Sacramento:

1. Starting in SACRAMENTO, CA on 12TH ST go 0.1 mi
2. Turn RIGHT on L ST go 0.7 mi
3. Bear LEFT to take ramp onto CAPITOL MALL(CA-275 S) toward SAN FRANCISCO go 0.2 mi
4. Continue to follow CA-275 S go 0.9 mi
5. Take LEFT ramp onto I-80-BR W go 2.6 mi
6. Continue on I-80 W go 69.3 mi
7. Continue on I-580 E go 3.9 mi
8. Take the SAN FRANCISCO exit onto I-80 W (Portions toll) go 4.4 mi
9. Take the TREASURE ISLAND/YERBA BUENA IS LEFT exit go < 0.1 mi
10. Continue on HILLCREST RD go 0.5 mi
11. Continue on TREASURE ISLAND RD go 0.3 mi
12. Continue on AVENUE PALMS (Gate access required) go 0.3 mi
The meet is about half a mile after the gate. You'll be able to see it on the right hand side.
