i was there on saturday, some good 1/4 mile races, show was all rice and bling! where was paul with his 11 sec rx-7?

 

Sucks we didn't bump into each other Pret. Next time I'll post as soon as I get the flier and set up a meeting place for all those who want to go. There were a couple of 9 sec. runs so I was happy. Just what I needed after the last couple of days. Felt good to get out and take my mind off things. Considering the conditions I was impressed! Even though that Apex logoed Supra sat at the line for a second or two it still did it in 11. I love my 8 but I dream about owning that car. Unfortunately I don't know enough to do the work myself. Did you see the mini van? lol 20 sec. 1/4. I also got a chance to talk to the guy at the " Anglo American Road Racing" booth. The owners name was Marty and he was definately cool. Didn't seem at all bothered by my 1000+1 questions. Took a look at his Tiens and he carries Greddy I have a little over $4000.00 saved up so far. He also said their is a local shop called " Scotch " that tunes 7s. Gonna give them a call Monday to see how comfortable they feel tuning a turboed 8.

Has any one else heard of " Scotch "? Was wondering about thier rep.

i did not see the 20 sec minivan, i did see the 23 sec suzuki samurai, lol. Also thought the lambo would have been faster. Was the apex logoed supra the black one? there were a couple of 10+ sec imports, and of course, the muscle cars with the blowers. i was only there from 9-12, it was a small area, surprised i did not run into you. I was over by the car show as friends of mine were sponsers, right across from anglo-american racing. I was over there when they fired up their yellow car.

as for next time, i thought this was the last after9event for this calander year.

how would you like to be the guy that lives in that house right next to the track? hehe

 

I didn't get to see the lambo run. What did it do the 1/4 in? I did see them pull it out of the tailor and show it off a little. The Apex logoed Supra was Grey with what I think was a blueish Apex logo. It was sitting next to the last trailor in the Supra section when I left. Man that thing was beautiful. I would have even taken it home with the stickers on if I had too. Pret I spoiled myself with my 8. Looking around I would take my stock 8 over anything there except the Lambo and Supra so I really stopped paying attention to the show cars after the 1st half hour.

I spent most of the night by the strip and the Stage. The guy I know there is Aaron Carter. He films and edits for after9events. When I asked him about upcoming events he said he wasn't sure but he would tell me as soon as he found out. It's very possible it was the last of the season like you said.

Lambo did like 11.5, but then again, i could be waaaay off (but it sounds right). that's why i didn't see ya, i was in the cold over by the races.

ya missed a good showing (for a body shop) on Sun. I will tell you what, that is the only body shop that i would recommend in AZ. i wish i knew of it last year before i bought my 8 (i had to repair my isuzu).

hey, im trying to get ahold of Kevin (yellow 8). we are planning on autoX Dec 4 and 5 @ Firebird. C'mon and join us, all you need is a helmet.

 

What body shop are you talking about?

I would really like to go to the autox event but I am moving into my 1st house on the 4th. I close on the 30th of this month! It's crazy we looked for over 4 months. For a while I thought it was never going to happen. I am definately having a club BBQ come summer. Sorry back on track now... Might be able to get there on Sunday the 5th. if we can get everything done Sat. Thank you for the invite.
