Am I alone?

Who here is in the SF Bay Area? I live out in Daly City and haven't seen another rx8 on the road yet. Am I the only lucky one?

I'm in san diego, and other than a rally we had a couple weeks ago I haven't seen another 8 on the road yet. I know a couple dozen have been sold here, but that's like a couple dozen out of 5 million cars in the county not likely to see another 8 for a while. I'd like to know who's been cruizin' in an 8 and seen another 8 on the road (rallys and driving around the dealership don't count.)

Dude, I'm in Daly City... no joke.. I had this car for 8 days now and I haven't seen another on the road (except for at a dealer).

you're not alone for long

I'm in SF, and have been told to expect delivery next week. I haven't seen another on the road yet either (and I commute to the south bay and drove to soCal last weekend.) My wife saw a black one at Sega today, tho (parked.)
I'm pretty sure a coworker saw brothervoodoo's car, tho, based on his description.

I'm sure in a few more weeks, we'll bump to one. On the first week I had my car, I encountered a silver after work on the 10 freeway in LA going east bound. We give each other a thumb up and cruise in the heavy traffics toward the 60.

If you are going east on the 10 after work, I'll pass you one of these days.

Talking Haven't seen another RX-8 either!

Hey guys,

I drive to Glendale from Garden Grove every Monday - Friday.
I drive the 605N to 5N to 710N, to 10W then back on the 5N to the 134E. I'm usually on the 10W around 8:00am to 8:15am, have not seen another RX-8 during my drive to work. To be honest, I'm not looking around because I'm having such a great time driving! If I see another RX-8 out there, I'll honk my horn!

Definitely one of these day. But not anytime soon. I've been taking the long way home: 105E -> 605N -> 60W, it's good to put some mile on the car As for going to work, usually spend on the 10E between 6:30a and 8:30a. Sometime I take the 60E.

Why do these threads always get hi-jacked from the southern california folk.

Back to topic, I actually saw another 8 in San Francisco, it was black and had decals from Bill Lang Cupertino. It only took "8" days to see one from the time I brought my car home.

I saw one on 280 today. Going south, just past 92. I was getting onto 280 from 92 and tried to chase him down in my 6, but he was flyin

It was silver with a full tint. Nice ride.

You'll have better luck seeing them near San Mateo and Burlingame due to the proximity of the dealer ship (test drives and what not). Both were silver and not gray?

I've had my Velocity Red for 2 weeks now still haven't seen another 8 'cept the ones on the billboards downtown. but then again I don't get out that much. Finally past 600 miles. now all the fools who've been passing me up better watch out.

Yo brudah voodoo where do you live in DC, I'm actualy in Colma about 5 mins away from T&C Billiards. I see dead people...

edit: dang. I re-read this and it sounded odd. For those who don't know Colma is full of graveyards, I live right next to one.

I'm not to far away from there too, I'm closer to the Westbourough/Hickey exits from 280. I finally did see another RX-8 for the 1st time on Bay Street near Geary/Fisherman's Wharf area.

I just hit a hair over 1000 miles and want to change the oil out, then go every 3000 from there.

I would like to check out your Red Red/Black 8. I will passing throught the Starbucks on Gellert (the one near the Mall/Good Guys) at 7:30p.m. If you get this and have time, cruise by there.

Well, it's been 3 weeks to the day since I got mine and I just saw my first RX-8 on the road (not including diriving to San Diego to meet up with other forum members). It was a yellow from Browning Mazda, just 2 blocks from my house. I finally have proof that I am not the only person in L.A. with an 8.

UPDATE: I saw the same car on Saturday morning. This guy is obviously one of my neighbors. People will now be used to seeing 8's in our town.

WE ARE NO LONGER ALONE!

This weekend I went to Palm Springs. Durning the course of the 2 day trip I passed 3 different RX-8's, 1 Titanium with a spoiler. Traffic was stop and go, so I was able to chat a little. Found out he wasn't a forum member...yet.

The 2nd one was black with dealer plates. The 3rd was blue.

Agreed. I was giving people rides in the car. I had mob after mob of people coming up to the car in P.S. My girlfiend couldn't belive how many times this happened. I constantly was explaing/demoing the doors and how smooth the engine sounds.

One couple from th UK demanded a ride. The woman said that she currently has a BMW X5 and the 8 seamed more luxurious to her. She wanted how much and when would it be availble in the UK. And all this time she was in the back seat.
