I just moved out to 29 Palms with my RX-8, and I've seen 4 others just here on base since I've been here. A Ti grey with black wheels, a White Water Pearl, a Sunlight Silver with neon green wheels and a carbon fiber hood, and another Winning Blue like mine. Any of y'all on here?

One Hint: It get's hot there during Summer and the RX-8 doesn't like to be hot. Make sure you take care of your car, you don't want to be stranded along Joshua Tree/Yucca Valley in "Stumps" Highway!

 

I am up here in 29 i'll be the BB with all the torn up plastic (not much longer i hope) in the front, from a meeting with a rather large impromptu desert jack rabbit.

 

I'm on here, i just moved here last week, i've got a winning blue rx8 that is still in Phoenix but should be here in a week or so

 

That SS with green wheels looks pretty cool, I would never do it to my own but it looks nice.

 

Just a heads up, every Wednesday night around 7:00 there is a car meet at Stater Brothers grocery store just off base down 62. So far, I'm the only rotary that shows up, but there are around 20 guys that go. We need more rotors there!

I'm in desert edge between dhs and skyvalley. I only seen one or two rotorys out here but my buddy owns a rotory shop out in dhs called Illiced performance all he does is rx7 and 8's. He is Mazda trained so if anyone needs anything let me know. As well as I have a few sponsers for speakers and sound and some performance parts so i can get a homie hook up.

 

Dam, once I get back on my feet financially i might take you up on that, my CD changer is broke, and i might wanna install a nice after market radio and MAYBE a 10 in the trunk. I might not be a homie yet but im sure we can fix that, I work at a tire shop in LQ if you need tires i might be able to get a homie hook up too,

 

I'm out in Indio have a WWP. Neighbor down the street has one too. Mine is bone stock. Just wondering who owns that shop in DHS? Does it happen to be glen?

Yes well one of the shops happens to be Glenn's. So that mean I know two good shops up here. As well as I have a garage full of tools and space if anyone needs help. I'll be doing my clutch in two weeks when it get here then my big brake kit in nov.! Can't wait. And let me know if you guys wanna meet up. I know It's a grind has some car meet I think it's he first sat of the month but I don't remember. I'll have to look. They have great coffee and food too. It's off Jefferson and Fred waring.

 

But I just got her a set of new shoes. I'm trying out the hankooks they are okay but I miss my nittos! These side walls are too soft for me. But they aren't bad and I got a good deal on them. 245/40/18's aren't cheap.

 

Yea im personally not a fan of hankook, i JUST put some sumitomos on. i love em, i got em 60 a piece, but thats my hook up, i dont know how much it would be for you guys.

OH and till the end of this month, my boss told me to tell all my friends n family if they mention my name they get buy 2 get 2 free(with the road hazard and alignment) so if you need some just tell me.

And does its a grind really? i didn't know that, i literally live right across the street from it. Im down if any one else is.

I'm down to go to DHS to check out the shops also. I want to see what people have going on at that end of the valley. They have the shop opened on the weekends?

mines just a tire and basic maintenance shop if your talking to me, but yea it is.

I don't have one. But I know a few different groups who like to meet up. Let me ask around and see what every one is up to.

I wish I could have gone. I just started my job in Palm Springs and I have to go to training out in Cerritos tomorrow. I'm definetley down for the next one! And let me know where your shop is. Now that I'm working in Palm Springs maybe I can swing by and check it out before I head home or something.
