Easy.... hey not a problem. Just seems like scheduling is difficult lately. Schedule one week and a majority are Autocrossing, book it the next and we're confliting with another club's event. I guess it's all goodness since members have many more options than they did 5 or 6 years ago when NOTHING was going on. Have fun, and hope to see you next month!

Yes, that is me, Lynn, in Steve's 3rd Gen. He had a temporary lapse of sanity and gave in to my constant begging to let me drive his car. What you do not see is him chain smoking when he realized what he had gotten himself in to. I got to drive the 7 from Tortilla Flats to the end of the pavement. I just love the turbo sound. I need to get me one of those cars.
We had a great time today, as usual.

Nothing like 'em. A wonderful toy if you have something else for a daily driver. Like, say, an 8.

Non-rotary but car item:
Nancy talked me into an extended warranty when we bought her PT Cruiser. We went for the odd interval of 84 months, ending 10/08, and 50,000 miles. Right now it's at Earnhardt's for a new radiator, thermostat, steering rack, tie rods, engine mounts, and possibly the whole engine at 48,000 miles. <whew>

Thanks to everyone who made it out last Saturday, and welcome to our newest RCCAZ club member Eddie Bernal. I think most everyone had a great time, allthough some more than others (*Lynn*)

Looking forward to seeing everyone again next month for our May Poker Run.

Everyone,

Sorry for no event this past Sunday. Hosted a Birthday party for my grandson (5 years old). This coming weekend is Mothers Day. How about a Poker Run on Sunday, May 18th. Any other club events conflicting with that date (AZMC)?

The 18th is clear with AZMC!

I could use a good drive!

Did you pull your motor yet?

I'm still in Miami, so I'll give you a ring tomorrow.

Damn...well I won't be able to make this one. Well...I COULD, but it'll be pretty embarassing for me. My trunk and bumper are off, my 8's rear end has been pushed in about 4-6 inches. My windshield has been shattered, so I cut out a piece of plexiglass and taped it. It's just sitting in my driveway, and i refuse to drive it.

Planning to pull it this Wednesday evening. I'll send a note out to all RCCAZ members. Anyone is welcomed to stop over to watch the extraction. Heck, we even have sandwiches left over from our party, so foods included

Well it was...but my mother and stepdad got a quote from our body guy of $2500 dollars. So we bought it back for $3500, and they said it won't have a salvage title (which I think they're BSing me), it's completely paid off (no more $600/mo.), and it'll be a while until it actually goes in. Our body guy said he needs 2 weeks to order the parts, and then another 2 for fixing, then i'm taking it straight to mazda for servicing, oil, rattles, and one of my paddle shifters broke off. So I'm pissed and kinda relieved at the same time.

The body guy also said that the frame wasn't bent, and nothing is wrong mechanically. Which is why I'll be taking it to Mazda afterwords

Thanks Dave... and thanks to everyone who made it out last night for the extraction. Everyone played a part, which turned out to be great. Thanks for lightening my load.

A special note of thanks to Tom Walling who did much of the heavy lifting (i.e., really knew what he was doing). Couldn't have finished so quickly without you Tom... THANKS!

It was great seeing everyone else, some who I haven't seen in months. All in all it was a great time with a minimal amount of greasy hands and bloody knuckles! Finally, thanks to Steve Lieber for taking pics. Hope to post them up in a couple of days once Steve and I coordinate the handoff.

Tim

Eh...it'll be ok. I'll be out for a while...but it'll be worth it once I get it back. I'll be able to start customizing it, without worrying about my car payments. Althought I'm bummed because I did want a manual

Once it's fixed, since it's paid off, trade it!

Everyone,

What time is Chickenwafer's BBQ on Sunday? Any interest in still pulling off a Poker Run late morning, then those who want to go to the CW BBQ can head over there early afternoon? I'll send out a teaser email tomorrow morning to try and drum up some interest. We had to put one of our pets down last Saturday, so I'm sorry, but I've been pretty darn Asleep at the Wheel this entire week.
