Had the awesome chance to go to the LA Autoshow this past weekend. Here are some pics of the 2008 Special edition Rx8. I LOVE that Metropolitan Grey! Although the camera could not really capture the color as well as I had hoped (photography is not my strong suit....)...

I should've taken more pictures, but there were so many people roaming around it was not easy......

yep it had the 40th special anniversary edition
on the front fender. it most give the car an extra 60 hp.
or it makes the car a special collectors edition.
have not figured which one yet....

i really liked that cars interior

 

ho hum, how many Greys do we really need? Looks like they finally decided to make a true leather seat.

 

it's not really a special edition; Mazda announced the 40th anniversay 8 a while back. Just a different interior and the special badging.

 

but that badge is definitly worth atleast 50whp no? just look at the GT-R mustang!

i cant wait to go to LA auto show the coming weekend....

 

CX wheels, a repainted Galaxcy Grey, and a rejected red interior that ended up brown.

When I was there (LA Auto Show), they were playing around with the clay model. I spent all of 2mins walking through the Mazda exhibit..

BTW, GTR OWNS!

 

The wheels are interesting...looks like they carried the rotary theme over to them (Rotor shape inside spokes)

 

In seeing that car from the outside it did not look very different on the outside, but the interior was actually really nice. The two tone leather is nice. Really nice contrast. I have to say the leather looks higher quality than my 04' GT. That's one thing I loved about the Shinka's, the first year the seat's leather looked/felt really nice.
