Everyone,

Sorry for the silence. I'm working a proposal at work that ships on March 19th and I've been working every day over the past month. Bottom line is that we may need to delay the Poker Run until the weekend of March 24-25 unless someone else wants to lead a drive to Tortilla Flats or something this coming weekend. I just don't have the time until late March. Believe me, I'd much rather be out driving with everyone I'll try to post something 'official' tomorrow!

Well, that makes 3. Any more takers?
Any other locations instead of the Flats under consideration?

Well it's looking like I'll have to take a raincheck this Sunday. The youngest son's wife's Grandfather passed away. He was 98 I think. So Micki and I have a service to attend on Sunday. Sorry but I really don't think I will make it to Tortilla Flats.
Looks like NOPI is the next big run.

My condolences. Funerals are not as much fun as driving.
Unless we get more folks than me and CW, I'll probably pass, as well.
So to speak.
Sorry. Didn't mean to make a joke...

Easy - sorry to hear about your loss

I can make Tortilla Flats, if it's a go.

Thanks nekoPurr.
You do need to come out and play sometime and I know this is in your neighborhood. Sorry that I can't make it. Would be nice to finally meet you. Other than the one time I saw you on the US60 with your new friend with the pretty lights.

Sorry to read about your youngest son's wife's Grandfather. It's never fun to goto funerals. They should be a celebration of a persons life, not his passing..

Just think though, he has seen airplanes, men on the moon, advances int medical tech, inflatation, the rise of the automobile, computers.

That is a very cool perspective 09Factor. Nicely done and so true. Erick and Micki - my condolences to you and your family.

Life really has way of, well, getting in the way sometimes. I have been totally out of touch for 2 weeks now. Sorry this weekend is a bust. I have to work this weekend as well so I know Sunday is no good for me either. There are several of us die-hards out there so I know a new meet isn't very far away. See you all soon.

Saturday Poker Run Anyone??

Everyone,

Join us this Saturday morning as we cruise from Ahwatukee to the top of South Mountain and back. On the ascent, we’ll be pulling over at rest areas in South Mountain Park and collecting playing cards to see who can pull the best poker hand. Once you’ve topped the mountain, you’ll reverse course and head back to Keegan’s in Ahwatukee where we’ll enjoy a lunch around 2 pm with standard door prizes and a special prize for the best poker hand. Don’t miss this great excuse to get out and carve up some asphalt.

Here’s the address to Keegan’s:
(480) 705-0505
4723 E Ray Rd
Phoenix, AZ 85044-6230

Also, we’re planning to have our 2007 club shirt ready to deliver.

Hope to see you this Saturday!
