Just bought my 2005 Sunlight silver RX-8 in the middle of October. It was a left over 05 so it was brand new, damn Im so excited. I am very interested to see what other rx-8 owners have done to their cars, and any other advice they can give me about my car.

For your 1st "mod" I suggest a V1 radar detector as with this quick thing you bought, you'll be glad to have it.

Thanks, pool, I was so busy working, still am on major doc to file to "end" a lawsuit, and my 19-year old came home from Tucson for a luncheon where she was presented with 1 of 12 statewide biz-school $10K scholarships, that when the weekend was over, I missed me too, as in "where am I and where am I going"

I feel like I am doing this to myselfbut I have to do this, and ultimately, it should pay off. We'll see...

I lOVE this car but I think the first mod I do will have to be getting a radar detector... I'd appreciate suggestions for a good one! (Box, I know you told me about one but I have forgotten which it was...)

 

The Valentine is in a class by itself. Just about any of them will work, but only the V1 will compare signals from two directions to tell you whether the radar is ahead, sneaking up behind, or over to the side where it doesn't matter.

 

I have two for years, and both have been updated at a cost worth it. One is my car; the other is in wife's car.

Saves my tail over and over again. I have an Escort, a Passport, a Whistler; nothing works like the V1

 

Thanks I'm checking out the website... it's kinda funny, they take the military comparison to a nearly wacky level. But it sounds legit and with y'all's references... might need to go for it.
