Hey, just wanted to put this out there for you guys...I don't want another boring *** year like last year so i'm putting together a PARK BBQ MEET N' GREET ON SATURDAY, MARCH 31st. - it's primarily for rotaries, former rotary owners and friends of any rotary owners (except for ricers, keep those guys at home plz ) - if you guys would like to attend - add yourself to the list n' if you wanna bring anything please feel free to include that as well

Does this still happen on wednsday nights??? ill definitly wanna go check it ill be driving by there around 830ish to see if anything is happening let me know if anyone else is going.

 

Rarely any RX-8s now a days, but you will see a lot of Scions, MAZDA guys are mostly MX-5s and MAZDA(speed) 3s. 9ish is the ideal time to show up.

 

oh cool ill be showing up today with my 8 would really like to get more imput on the 8 been doing alot of reading.

I got my 8 recently, and I went to this meet the last couple of weeks. I was surprised I was the only 8 there. I was hoping to meet some other 8 owners. Anyone plan on going to this meet any time soon?

 

went there last Wednesday at around 10... Nuthin...I only saw maybe 10-13 mazda 3 guys and they said only one RX8 showed up and left early.. I checked out the meet in burbank @ krispy kremes last month . That one was HUGE... atleast 500 different cars... but according the website it was more... If you guys wanna check it out? I'm down.

 

Yeah I'd go to the 818 meet but I work 1-10 monday threw Friday.. Whens the Krispy kremes meet??

 

Vipersguard - i tried showing up 2 weeks ago and no1 was there.. do u know when is the next one?

I sway away grom the KK meet, I think they're mostly JDM Honda guys. The MOCC meet is ever Wednesday, but the RX-8 guys used to meet up every second Wednesday if the month. I rarely know anyone who shows up and as the months went by, fewer and fewer RX-8 owners started showing up with the Mazda(speed)3 and Protege owners.

 

we were there. Mostly ms3 ans msp guys. I was the only rotory. They meet outside the parkinglot now due to heat. We also left at around 11 to go to the canyons so you may have missed us.

 

Yeah that one guy who left early was me, I had work the next day at 6. It is mostly ms3 and msp guys there now.

 

So what meet to you guys recommend then since there arent a lot of 8's showing up to most of them?

 

i say we just start hosting our own meets instead of being with the hondas and ms3. it might be a little bit of us but will be better than a group of ppl we dont know. what you guys think?

 

Canyon Runs are fit for our car. Stick with the MOCC since they can relate better than the HONDA guys, despite them with Mazda(speed)3s, they're very chill compared to the SCION guys who shows up at the same time.

 

Im down im in the OC but im down to travel I havent been to one yet. I still have another two weeks though getting a new engine from mazda within the coming days.

 

So should we all show up to the mocc meet today or next week?

 

I'm in the area so I will stop by and check things out.
