It's a nice look against the white Paul. What'd you use? Also what wheels do you have on her?

I used some Krylon for Plastic Paint Adhesive, Black Krylon Plastic binding paint, and then some clear coat. It looks better in person.

Shannon, unfortunately I still have the stocks for rims. I would like to through some black rims on it but I am not sure what brand/price to get. Any thoughts or suggestions?

Stockers are by far the best looking wheel out there for the 8. That said, I have a think for gunmetal wheels against the white. The only contrast photo I know of off hand is this photoshopped one of the 2009 RX8 with 19's, but the 8 body is different too. Anyhow, the contrast is my point, combined with your smoked emblems would a nice combo.

rglbegl's isn't bad except it looks like there is gold or bronze in the center caps.

No, that is rust. There are no center caps. (they look lame!!!)

And I agree . . . stock wheels are the best. That is why I am selling the Works.

Thanks Erick. I am getting my VHT Nite Shades sometime this week (UPS says Tuesday) and will be smoking the tails this weekend. Hopefully this works out. I would love to go to some meets but I need to find some time to do it. I work Mon-Fri 8-5 and for the most part I am available during the weekends so I will need to look at the meet schedule and see when I can get a few in.

So when you guys come down here for the Tucson Run to Pima Air Museum on Sunday how long do you guys and gals typically hang? Do you have any idea how many people are doing to run?

Here's a few more pix. Just click them and they open in a new window and expand. That's the biggest I can get them. I took the pics with my phone and I can't find my camera. ******blacked Emblems******-smokedemblems1.jpg

Talking

Yeah. Here's what I did.

You are going to need the following: Girlfriends hair dryer, Razor Blade or Fishing Line (Tooth Floss is too weak), Soap & Water, Clear Coat, Paint for plastic (I used black), and you will most likely need some adhesive to get them to stick back to the car.

Heat up the emblems on the car for a little bit. Once you have heated them, use the razor and slide it under the emblems. (On the word "MAZDA" and the mazda "EMBLEM" on the back, they have holes and plastic prongs that hold them in. The word "MAZDA" has 3 prongs. 2 on the top and 1 on the bottom in the middle. The emblem has 2 prongs on the side. The "RX-8" does not have any prongs and it is three pieces.

When you slide the razor or Fishing line under be sure to take it slow so you don't break the emblems.

Once you get them off, wash them up with some soap and water and then dry them off. Once you dry them with a towel or something, use the hair dryer and make sure they are completly dry.

Now use either the Adhesive Promoter (if you have it) or just the paint. Make sure to spray a few coats. (I did 5 coats) Once you have your color on, spray about 2 to 3 clear coats on. Let this dry for a few hours before you touch it. "DO NOT GET OVERLY ANXIOUS!" You will wrinkle the paint if you touch it.

Once it is dry, use your adhesive and stick it back on the car. Now let it dry for a few hours more to make sure it sticks. You're done

Well when I was taking them off i would use the razor and when the razor would stop moving I would use the fishing line aroung it. None of the prongs broke off. They were pretty tough.

Well once the adhesive is loose or off, just pull it towards you from side to side. Just be sure to not put too much presure on one side. Make sure the presure is distributed equally. As long as you go that route you should be fine.
