Question, why are you offering (recommending) thinner than OEM wheels (7.5" not 8" or 8.5") and then wider than stock (245) tires. This would seem to fly in the face of performance, no?

Well, just posting some new wheels that fit the RX8. They are a 1/2" skinnier than stock but they are decently priced and handling won't suffer much. Other wider wheels are offered but I haven't posted them yet.

Wider wheels

Huff,

What do you have that would allow us to go wider but still use an 18" wheel? Maybe 18x9's all the way around.

What tire size would we use with the 18x9's?

YES! apparently you are the first to catch on or at least acknowledge the connection.

The name came from my wife who said the same thing you just did.

"You are ordering a black car with black interior, you are going to have a stroke this summer!"

Actually you would be surprised, when the local rotary car club had an outing hosted by Vivid there were 3 black 8's. At that event it appeared to be the most popular color. Hey, we live in AZ and deal with 115 degree summers all of the time, I guess we aren't the smartest bunch!

Black on Black in AZ too right here!!! When the outside temp is 115 in the shade and the inside of your car is about 135 - 140 it really doesn't make that much of a difference :D

I lived in Tucson for 20 years, and had both black cars and black interiors from time to time. You do get used to it, I know. Just don't climb in wearing shorts during the summer.

Especially with Vinyl seats........

Huff....

Do they make any of the 5Zigen wheels with the dark center and chrome lip (don't remember what they are called) in a 18x8 or wider?

So far wheel fitments I've seen have been for 7.5. The plus sizes I've seen are wider. I'll see if I can dig up more wheels.
