I recently installed an agency-power catback system on my 04 rx8 & the car runs better & sounds better however the check engine light came on for the cat, but everything is operating smoothly in my opinion ... how do i make the check engine light for cat stop? & is it normal for the car to burn more fuel with this exhaust system?

Same here, the engine light came on, one of my rx8 buddies told me its common once u install an exhaust system, but im taking it to my friends shop to have it check out to be safe. It sure does burn more fuel, u can even smell it inside the car...does yours shoot out flames??
OK ... I figured out what the problem was @ my dads shop... you need to keep the stock Catalytic Converter(along with the stock resonator) on & the car will drive perfect ... with just the perfect sound a great acceleration ... then clear your codes & see if they ever pop-up again...

Yea... i know.... but i prefer too keep the stock cat on since i have an automatic & now it dosnt burn as much fuel & sounds just perfect, Instead of being very loud with the agency power mid pipe....
