We will have plenty of time to take 16 like we did our last sisters run...that was fun. Not my call, but I tend to agree with you. :)

And if you and I are wrong, then we can trek it together. :)

I may be a little closer to 7:30 though...but I will be there in plenty of time to make the event.

9krpmrx8 05-13-2009 05:31 PM

I'll be there with my son.

Sounds good. I just got wind of this, but is there a map layout of the run in the first few pages?

Mazdaspeedgirl 05-14-2009 06:53 AM

Thanks. I should see you guys out then.

Grungepup 05-14-2009 11:37 AM

tbk 05-15-2009 08:22 AM

is it saturday yet?:uhh:

jiggawha1 05-15-2009 10:54 AM

We will depart around 7:30ish sat morning from Bass Pro Shops at The Rim located at 1604 and I-10. Plz send me a txt or call me if you are running late and need us to wait an extra 10min or something. 2106439202

9krpmrx8 05-15-2009 11:34 AM

You mofo's ready? Kevo I'm following you bro. Are we doing groups or what?

Damn it my rotors are delayed and wont be in til' Monday. I wanted to break the rotors and pads in but it's probably a good thing since this run is probably not the best time to break them in.

Kevo 05-15-2009 07:06 PM

Sorry bro...didn't see the post until just now. You can always have my back...I know I won't get rear ended!

Yeah...you will want to properly bed your brakes before you run an event! :)

I am all prepped and ready to go...not sure about groups or not...we can figure it out in the morning though. I will be there aout 7:00 - 7:15. :)

Riley Craven 05-15-2009 10:45 PM

Please get gas before the drivers meeting at 9:30.we will have a chance to stop for it till lunch.

9krpmrx8 05-15-2009 11:18 PM

Gassed up and ready to go! No kevin my son has never been so it will be a blast.

VS8 05-16-2009 06:55 AM

Lets do this!!!!

VS8 05-16-2009 03:33 PM

Just got back I went half of 3 sisters so I guess 1.5 sisters but it was still fun...my friend had to go into work

9krpmrx8 05-16-2009 06:28 PM

Today was a bust because of the weather and the incident. But that's what insurance is for Kevo, don't sweat it. It was great seeing you guys and my son and I had a great run back into Kerrville so it was okay. Im gonna nap, peace out.

tbk 05-16-2009 06:38 PM

it was a pretty good run considering what happened. as long as kevo was all right that's all that mattered. before you know it, the car will be back looking as good as new

9krpmrx8 05-16-2009 06:43 PM

Yeah, like Milli vanilli said, "Blame it on the rain!" Hey TBK, I meant to ask, what bulbs are you running in your fogs?

tbk 05-16-2009 06:51 PM

thats a good question lol
i traded my old fogs to jordan for the ones i have now, im not sure where he got them. i never bothered to look at the bulb.

9krpmrx8 05-16-2009 07:01 PM

Just curious, I like the way they look, didn't know if it was bulbs or overlays.

tbk 05-16-2009 07:11 PM

well when theyre off they look bluish, but they look like theyre on, cause they do have an overlay and when theyre on theyre a nice bright yellow.

VS8 05-16-2009 07:30 PM

they are the multicolored tint ones from azpartsexpress on ebay
i dont know about b and c groups but that a group was flying
even with the rain :)

Kevo 05-16-2009 08:33 PM

Thanks for the support guys...made it home in one piece...my apologies for the incident...hated to bum up the deal for everybody...but given what could have been I feel very lucky.

Been playing it over and over in my mind. I have driven in similar conditions before and have faired just fine...you try to compensate for road conditions, but sometimes it just isn't enough...you misjudge...when your wheels let go, they let go...at that point there is nothing you can do except damage control.

But hey, it's mostly cosmetic...i'll get her fixed like new.

9k, Pup and Cornholio...I owe you guys for sticking it out with me and getting me back on the road. I appreciate you fellas...more than you know. :)

9krpmrx8 05-16-2009 08:45 PM

No problemo man, thats what friends do. Wet weather adds all kinds of variables. Kind of weird that we were commenting on you bringing a spare tire!! But shit happens man, just don't forget to get the wheels claimed and a claim for loss of value.

It's your first incident so there should not be any issues with your ins company. next time we run I will have to pass if its wet. My pretty baby is filthy.

Mazdaspeedgirl 05-16-2009 10:17 PM

Nice to see you guys. Sorry we had to leave, but my buddies (especially the drift car) would not have fared well in that amount of rain.

Sorry to hear something happened, but at least you're ok Kevo. Tell your wife to drive your baby now with no worries: you broke it in. ;)

canaryrx8 05-16-2009 10:33 PM

sorry I missed it guys, car lost a radiator earlier in the week thanks to an engine replacement that was completed by neanderthals a month or so ago, I'd been driving around with a cracked filler tube and we finally located the problem earlier in the week since I'd been smelling coolant while dirving for a while now. :( oh well, there's always next year :)

Creto 05-16-2009 11:44 PM

The incident was misfortunate, however, the weather kept the roads much clearer and provided for some nice runs.

VBGT 05-17-2009 11:13 AM

Was great meeting you guys, very impressed with the turnout even w the rain. That's the first time my 8 has been driven that hard! Still trying to get a feel for the car at the limit and yes, A group was MOVING!! Kevin, sucks about the car, but man, it's waaay more important that you and everyone else was OK, parts can always be replaced, lives can't. Pleasure meeting the SA guys, I should see yall sometime coming up if another meet is planned. Guys heading back to DFW, drive safe and everyone stay blessed!!
Steve

I've got pictures from most of the DFW crew. Unfortunately, I'm gonna be catching a flight here in about 2 hours, so I can't post them right now. I'll have them compiled and posted by Monday night though!

Don't mention man, that's what friends do for each other. You would have done the same for any of us.
