Time to change forum picture?
Hi all:
I think with the latest RX-8 pics that are out, we could update the forum's picture? What does everyone else think? Time to change the yellow with a red picture?

Try and keep it the same height and width as the original logo to start out. (300 X 163 pixels)
My apologies to B00STD7 for poaching on his badging logo.

There ya go, very sweet! If we stay with any small logo I'm sure our resident "photo-choppers" can come up with the other colors. Now how about background? Leave it white or shade it with each logo? The black one would look good with a gun-metal grey background and alternating silver/grey forum posts. Lets keep it simple for the 56k dial-ups, and rotate logos monthly maybe(?).
Someone post a silver one before Zoom44 goes postal on us. :D LOL!

I'd still stay with the red version. The other colors look good on the car, but the black and silver make the icon look monochrome, and even the orange looks a little thin compared to the red. It's going to be hard to improve upon the color balance of that red icon w/o using an annoying color that will wear on people very quickly.
Besides, for now, I think that having the same color car that everyone is seeing in this first round of magazine articles will be more recognizable to new members and guests.

-Although the font is pretty cool, it is normally a good idea to make the font on such icons easy to read. It's hard to read as it is, and it's going to be even smaller when it is put into place.
-I'd avoid using a black, or other dark car. Even though we might like that color, you really lose detail in a logo like this with that color, and it looks more like a silhouette than a picture.
-And I'd make the surrounding ring a more "muted" color, and the car the "strong" color (like it is now), so that the car is "highlighted".

GD, you hit the NAIL ON THE HEAD MAN!!! sweet ***...
black is the only colour of choice for the distinguished (and badass) carguy, such as you, myself, and a few others, but this red logo really pops off the white (being contrasting and everything...) background of the page.
kudos, m'boy. :D
