For Sale Forum Suggestion

So...It'd be a lot easier to look up specific FS items if the Private FS forums werre separated like this:

For Sale - Engine / Drivetrain / Power
For Sale - Suspension / Brakes / Handling
For Sale - Wheels / Tires
For Sale - Interior / Exterior / Sound / Styling
For Sale - Cars For Sale
For Sale - Miscellaneous Automotive
For Sale - Part Outs
For Sale - Wanting To Buy (WTB) Or Trade (WTT)

The old ones could be kept in the directory that currently exists, and new threads could be posted in new directories...it's done by most forums.

I'd be willing to accept Mod privileges to update that forum.

I know what he's saying. Moving posts isn't hard, and someone is already (or should be) watching the FS directory in order to delete old threads. NTM, I said I'd be willing to do it.

I just think it's rediculous to look at a thread for a turbo kit, then see a thread for a shift **** right below it. Sifting through a bunch of **** to get to what you want is the reason that a lot of WTB threads go up, flooding the forum with even more **** to sift through.

Just my .02.

Our forum doesn't generate enough traffic/new posts in the wtb/fs section such as other tuner cars with larger aftermarket markets.

What's the quantity of enough traffic? That's a great general statement...but wanting to make something better when it isn't a matter of "hard cost" or "labor cost" doesn't depend on how much it's used...it depends on someone's work ethic.

And even then...my offer still stands, I'll be the Mod for the FS Forum.

I highly doubt they'd allow a member who joined 3 months ago, with 28 posts, mod. They've already got some, as it is...

Check out www.nasioc.com, www.evolutionm.com, www.my350z.com, etc if you want to see what "enough" traffic is. We hardly have enough fs/wtb to justify different sections for everything.

Personally, I like having everything in one place, it makes browsing much easier.

I got the car about 3 months ago...but I've been a member of vBulletin forums since 2005. I don't need to spell out qualifications, this isn't a paid position.

I'm a member of evolutionm.net (it's actually where I pulled the example from), and am aware of the difference in thread volume but as I stated before...the basis for my suggestion has little to do with quantity...it has everything to do with quality.

I'm guessing with the general consensus of people claiming "unnecessary", it won't happen.

I just think organization is key.

+1 to that.

Maybe you should try & mod those other forums instead? Theres other improvements that they could work on... this just seems unnecessary.

IF anything just seperate the WTB & FS threads... but even that is not needed.
