RX8 of the month
We should have a monthly contest for RX8 of the month. Be it a public vote or just decided between the mods. I think it'd be a nice incentive for people to mod their car and take more pictures, which we all love around here.
I don't think any prize is needed, but maybe the image of their can can be displayed on the site somewhere.

but again, i'm not into body kits UNLESS there was an ultimate advantage in performance for me. that said, a "fashion" body kit is very risky in clean appearance. and most functional ones aren't great looking as its mainly for aerodynamics...
just my 2cent. and i'm sure your car does get some looks from people. i guess the concensus just isn't here on this forum.
but i do got one word for you : H.I.N.!

I've tried this numerous times but it never really caught on. It finally started to get pretty good, I think we had over 400 votes one month for RX8 Of The Month. I stopped it tho when it came out that the last winner cheated by having his friends join and vote and he beat XDUB by 2 votes to win. I got discouraged and stopped running it after that, since no one really cared.
To do it properly, we need a whole separate sub-forum titled "RX-8 Of The Month" where it is just nominations and voting threads, with a specific moderator to regulate everything, and that person would run ROTM.
I've sent PM's and emails to mods and admins but no one responds or cares, so I let the idea die.

I got the idea from the Yaris forums. My girlfriend bought one and wanted me to join the forums with her. They have a Yaris of the month there and it works pretty well. But I guess you have to be of a gentler disposition to buy a Yaris lol

this ain't HIN...i would hope the vote for ROTM winner be a sum of all areas worked on and a well rounded car. not to just the richest guy who can get everything off of a catalog and have his friend mechanic install all of it.
i'd love to see someone who works hard on his car get an award for his efforts.

so for example...i'd love to see such cars belonging to mazd...wait, MM already was featured in a mag right?
but something close to that example. a car that was cared for and many performance areas covered and also a large amount of tuning knowledge able to share with the rotary community... thats the guy that i wanna see win and on ROTM. and his car has gotta look clean. can't have a dirty, dusty beater on the front pages now can we? (rhetorical question)

but it wouldn't be fair to win purely off of money parts and carbon fiber now would it?

any way you want to look at the contest there will be someone to complain.
btw, anyone that has lived under a rock and doesn't know xdeedubbx's car:

i seriously hope you're not referring to deedubb's car when you say that. he's one of the few that has a very subtle appearance front lip molded into the bumper and the rest flows quite well. even if he's not the one that did it with his hands, why wouldn't he get some credit for sporting it first? but i digress and am sticking to one point which you may not have been trying to make.

You can nominate a car for any reason, and if there is a car up for running you don't like, you don't have to vote for it, that simple
