Funny I just got an e mail notification at 6:27 pm this evening. About a PM I received from BHR at 9:46 pm yesterday.
Something is wrong.
Oh and I still haven't received a notification about the one I received 22 minutes prior to that from BHR. At 9:24.
What's really going on?

im was getting reported post messages but after a longer than normal delay up until the 4th. no reported post messages for the 5th and i use gmail....

 

I use my own server and I have gotten only a few, sporadic notifications that are very late (several days).

 

The forum must be using lotus notes for email.

 

Has rx8club been white/black listed by any of the ISPs?

 

hmm i reported my own post- didnt get that message but got different one from a few minutes later

 

I wonder if there is a DNS issue with the mailservers?

The MX record for rx8club.com is smartmail.internetbrands.com with IP address 207.212.174.90. The forward and reverse DNS are working for me but I see there is an issue with reverse lookup possibly from the mailserver side.

Can any of the mods check with the site administrators if there is a DNS issue?

Here it is failing from a site on the internet that is checking the smtp connection to smartmail.internetbrands.com.

 

The smtp check is now working so not sure if it was a timeout of if there is an intermittent problem on their end. FWIW I set my NS to their dns server and was able to do forward and reverse lookups of smartmail.internetbrands.com and rx8club.com.

 

Well the reported post got to me, instantly this time, but a lot of them of late have not. I'll bring it up with the InternetBrands gurus.

 

FWIW, I'm experiencing the same delays with rx7club. I know both sites use the same mailserver and dns server and would imagine any of their sites that use them are having the same issues.

 

Well it is improving some.

I received a message that was only 8 hours delayed.

Glad to hear I am not the only sap that notices no notifications.

 

I just got an assplosion of notifications - some dating all the way back to Saturday.
Over 30 of them at once!

 

lol assplosion eh? yea mine started coming pretty quick... i actually have been getting notifications on time for when i get a PM, however its not the right PM that im getting notified of. Just really weird timing :P

 

This last notification showed up only an hour late.

I am getting quite a few old notifications as well.

HOLY.. I had 98 email messages from rx8club.com this morning. I also got new PM notifications today on time.

Go to User CP on the main page. Go down to Edit Options or List Subscriptions. One of these is where your email notifications are coming from.

 

I am, again, not getting notifications.
Not even for PMs.
