Mysterious Post Count discrepancies
 

id swear i had about 110 posts and today i see that i have 91 or so. what happened? am i losing my mind, did some threads get deleted? my count doesnt matter but id like to know what happened. :confused:

FSM snatched them up with his noodly appendage.

I stole them and added them to my score. :D

Oh well, that post count is meaningless anyway. I make over 500 posts a month.

This always seems to happen with Mazda.

I lost 5.

They have a new system that retroactively subtracts any truly stupid or useless posts. My count used to be 52,378.

Must be a few bugs in it then. You still have some left. :p

On Monday Mazda will offer to buy back all your remaining posts since they misrepresented your original post count. :p

Almost all of my original technical posts from the past year were deleted quite a while ago.
I think we just have an over-zealous moderator doing some house cleaning.

I just lost about 100 in this most recent purge.

I'm thinking they deleted a bunch of old threads so that's what messed us all up.

Posts don't count in the Gulf Forum, but they're not taken away....

Me too... I've lost about 200 or so. Not that I zealously keep track of it or anything, but I remember that last time I looked I had over 600 posts. Considering that 99% of everything I post goes in the lounge, where it doesn't count, it's gonna take a looooong time to get back up there! :eek:

ugh, there goes about half my posts....

This slaughtered all the newer members post counts....makes the whole forum look younger in general as well.

i have also lost quite a bit...i went from around 920 back to 835.

the only thing I'm worried about is pertinent threads and information being lost...lots of the threads from the inception of this forum provides great information on the history of the car (especially regarding technical matters/DIY info/etc.) and I do search for that information from time to time

I matters to me! I had just made it over the 1000 post count and then they kick me back down. It's like pooring salt in my wounds.

well my post count went from 10k to 8k and now zoom44 is only 100 post behind me. What the hell happened

It's said in another thread... most of our posts have been taken out for some odd reason. I lost about 600+ or so... was like 2200+ somewhere. Oh wells.

well when you turn off the counting ina particular forum is doesnt subtract them from a total it just stops allowing them to increase your count by posting there. still dont know what happened. shame it didnt help me catch mikeb:)

I'm looking into it also. This is strange and unintentional. Never seen post counts being subtracted before.
