I tried to log on from my cell phone this afternoon and I got the message that "This IP address has been banned" It was never a problem before. I do it about once a day on break at work. I haven't broken any rules. I can log on from home with no problem. Any advice?

I suggest you PM one of the admins. They are the only ones that can take care of this.
Have you tried again from the phone? You may pick up a different IP the next time.

While It happened I was given the option to pm an admin. I did so then from the phone. Haven't checked again yet. Will do so shortly. I know virtually nothing about smart phones technically, but doesent my phone retain the same IP it was given when the service was activated?

Edit uptdate: Just tried again from my phone same message...I don't want to seem pushy so I will wait a while for the message I originally sent from the phone at the time be received.

IPV4 address went out months ago.

most carrier these days use subnets and internal ip. so what that means is you might be sharing the same ip with couple hundred or thousands of other ppl.

that could be your problem.

I have no idea what the IP is or was at that time. I was at a TGI fridays restaraunt at the time I got the message... maybe my phone hyjacked their IP? Unfortunatly yes Im mobile alot. Usually when im out and about and get bored I play on the phone and usually end up on rx8club. If its a huge pain in the butt to sift through hundreds of IPs, don't bother yourself. Its not as big deal really I can just wait till I get home. Thanks for this info tho.

Fixed! after learning about my phone jacking local IPs. I decided to try to turn off the phone and start it back up from home hoping it would take my own local IP. It worked.
