Move to change club avatar once a year
Yay or Nay to having that VR 8 replaced at the top left to a different picture/color every year (or 6 months)
I'm not saying pick a modded 8; just if you see a nice picture of a stock 8 every 6 months (cycling colors). Just to keep the forum fresh I guess... |

So here is my idea(don't know if it was mentioned???) We create a poll and pick the RX8 of the quater and set it in the site's avatar. It will give us members something to strive for!!! After all most of the members spend lots time in the site on daily basis. And this could also be our new section in the site "featured RX8 of the quater" with basic info and pics of the car, nothing fancy but highly visible for everybody that logs in the site!:uhh: |

Nope voting system for members cars never works, its been tried for Car Of The Month about 6-7 times over the past five years,,, never works,,,

that's what I was thinking as well. No modified 8's, just a plain stock picture to replace the VR. Good idea above^; just substitute in a Mazda ad pic

I like the R3 with the headlights on cruisin through the canyons. Im not a fan of a BONE stock (no spoiler, appearance pckg) "series 1" RX-8 being the avatar.

Agreed Shinka MJR, that is a nice pic. I definitely think the banner should be a 2009, preferably an R3, and black or blue.

My favorite.... is the first... looks sharp with nice contrast....not the right proportions but you get the idea I can chang ethe dimensions later...

i dont mind the change it does look good but i think 6-12 month will be fine. or maybe change it for the holidays like yahoo does?

Ill pick up the marketing booklet the next time Im at the dealership and hopefully theu have soem rear 3/4 shots,,, but as of now thats the only 'official' shoots I can find,,, And yea the blurriness can be fixed, these are just feelers...

+1 for change. Also what about like an animated intro with an 8 before it goes to the main threads kinda like the screen saver from mazda just not as long unless you add a skip intro button.

sounds like waaayyyy too much work, and a PITA when logging in (even with a skip button)

Shouldn't be to much work, I've done animation when I took computers in school, plus it could be kinda like a photo slide show instead of animation. Just depends on how it would be done that way it wouldn't be a PITA, but just changing the avatar would be just as good.

Change would be good. But instead of choosing one color, why not just get a bunch of 8's from people on the board in a row somewhere when you meet up and take a picture? Someone can photoshop it to make it look super smexy then change it every other month or so. That way it'll always change, no one can complain that their favorite color isn't there, and people can show off every once in a while. Although it would be kinda hard to choose who would be in the picture....
