Mobile version of RX8Club please...
Mods,
Would it be possible to get a mobile version of this site? Something in the lines of mobile version for regular version . Not sure how complicated this is, but since most forums are done with the vbulletin stuff, I would expect this to be simple enough. I might be wrong.
I would love to be able to quickly access RX8club.com from my Treo 650. I am sure there are other readers who would like do the same from their smartphones.
Thanks in advance!

um, on the treo 650, you have a full web browser. you can surf about 95% of the web pages out there on the treo. i used to work for cingular, and had the 600, and had no problems surfing most sites, unfortunately i got rid of it before i started frequenting this site.

I second that.
Yes on the treo or the Blackberry (me) you can get a ful web browser but it is sooooooo sloooooooooow.
On other forums they have a text only low fi. version. it works great for reading replies to posts withowt waiting for oll the graphics to load.

unfortunately on the blackberry and treo 600 it is slow. but on the 650, it uses the edge network (at least for cingular) so it is like 5 times faster than dial up

I am on Sprint. Get download speeds of about 115 kbps. But, the Palm OS is not capable of multitasking. So, even with a 312 MHz processor, the Treo 650 is pretty slow with rendering heavy content. It is a combination of the operating system and the network that makes it painful to browse content with graphics. But it works great with text only or minimal graphics sites. No wonder most portals these days have good mobile sites. I just hope that we get better phones and networks soon. Until then, it would be great to have a mobile version of RX8Club.com.

When we get started developing new apps for the sites here in a couple weeks, I'll put this on my 'wish list' for the developers. Ultimately it'll be up to their skills, and cost of doing it - but I like the idea
