Could we ban these "What should I choose- the RX-8 or blah blah" threads. I always see people ask whether they should buy the RX or a 350Z, STi, Evo, G35, S2k, SRT-4, M3, etc, etc. They are all great cars but we here are all totally biased. All of these cars also have their own biased forums. Asking the question here is the wrong place. It would be like walking into a Mazda dealership and asking the same question.

Read the praise and complaints found in our forum as well as other car enthusiasts. Check out some long term road tests from the automotive media. And maybe even test drive a car or two.

I'm sorry, stupid people really tick me off sometimes.

 

I think if we decide to ban such threads, non-Lounge forum traffic may drop significantly, because there's no more "my car is faster than yours", "my car looks better than that POS" pissing contest to fill the threads!

do you really want a SANE AND INFORMATIVE forum without all the garbage associated with it????

 

Mainly it's cross-shopping people who can't/won't form their own opinions of certain performance cars from, oh maybe...test drives and researching here and the tidal overflow of info from other sources. If they ask "should I?" it's not our responsibility to sway their opinion with ours either way, lol! In our humble opinions, of course.

Why is asking the question here biased? How do you know that people here don't own an RX-8 and one or two of those other cars? And if we do, maybe we can help others compare and contrast what they want to know...Maybe the car magazines and such are too biased for them and want to know what it is like for an "everyday" car as opposed to just a few track runs.

Maybe we should have the Mods block all your posts and starting of threads because you seem to be biased and prejudiced against those looking for help.

I know it can become tiring for some of the people that have been a member for a long time but it helps the newbie's with their decision......at the very least, there is ususally a tidbit of information to learned in each of thiese threads.....

You need these kind of comparo threads to keep the fires of automotive enthusiasts alive. Nothing is better than exchanging views opinions on the different aspects of cars.

I have to go with the flow here: Ban GotBass!

yeah personally i like the comparison threads...

at least until the overly biased people pop up. (the 8 is faster than any car ever made! the corvette is ugly and handles like crap compared to the 8! i smoked a ferarri last night therefore the 8 is faster than ferraris!)

it's kinda neat hearing about the various advantages and disadvantages of the cars.
