Exact word search

Maybe i'm doing something wrong but when I put my search in parenthesis to do an exact word search it searches for both the words I put in seperately. For example, "Greddy exhaust" searches for "Greddy" and "exhaust" so I get a lot of useless results.

Amen! The search function is next to useless. An 'Advanced Search' should allow you to separate word with AND or OR, as well as the exact phrase form you mentioned. On many occassions, I have need to find posts that contain two specific words, but I end up with a gazillion results because I can't AND them.

Try using quotes around the phrase in the search box like ["Greddy exhaust"] vs [Greddy AND exhaust]. I got 4 pages vs 12 pages of results using the two methods.

^^ Agreed. I learned that a long time ago from years of using Alta Vista, which takes similar syntax. I can't remember if it works for this site or not, though.

As I stated, that is exactly what I was doing in my original search. My search was posted in quotations as follows, "Greddy exhaust" . Unless you mean putting in with [ these ] which I don't think you are.
