WOW. That seems like a major PITA if one was to attempt a part out, or something of the like. Wouldn't this also clutter the classified even more as it would create even more threads?

Thank you for the suggestion re: APO, is that all that needs to be added, just that, or?
Is there not Brand New & Used as choices for Item Condition? There should be.

cheers,
robb
AFAIK APO/FPO covers all of the overseas military addresses.
May have been a glitch but the thread I was making was only offered USED as an option.

Well, I think we all understand the reasons this may be applied. But I think we all equally dislike it. Thanks for the quick reply, hope the APO/FPO stuff works out.

Congrats on the latest phase of the fubar revolution ... I can't fathom how anyone think these changes do anything but make the marketplace a cumbersome pita. Today's revision only ruined what was previously a harmonius viewing experience on my iPhone. Force feeding the search function on the side has ruined it, even when it's closed everything is still jammed over to a 2/3 page width on the right, but with new columns added to further jam pack it all in.

Hopefully this is just a temporary beta because it sucks.

Oh yeah, no eBay links/postings allowed bud there's an eBay ad or something at the bottom listing 20 items that have nothing to do with RX-8s

The mobile version of the site, which will launch very soon, will alleviate the issue you describe on your iPhone.

Adding the Military Location codes right now.

What's up with the cars search? Aren't we limited to RX8's in the fs section? I sure wouldn't come here to look for a 52 studebaker

Except that I rarely use mobile versions for websites because they're so limited and usually not well thought out IMO. The exception is when a full site use processes that are totally incompatible with my mobile, such as Adobe Flash vs. iPhone. That hasn't been the case here, just the opposite. So I'm not just here trying to whine and raise hell for kicks. So far these changes don't seem to work from my own perspective and im confused about the thought process behind them, not that what I think matters byond my ranting posts.

I'm with you Team. I had no issues with the old fs section. The new version just adds to the clutter. I pretty much skip the "fill in the boxes" section so that I can see what the seller is actually selling. It's all useless to me, but like you said, my thoughts don't matter past my posts. It's the same with the mobile site. I appreciate that they're trying to make the site better, but it's as if they're trying to re-invent the wheel, just to do so. I tend to stray away from mobile sites myself, and I'm finding myself straying away from the FS section too. Too clunky and too much between me and the info i'm looking for.

Team, I can sympathize with you, but you are an edge case user, would you not say?

That being said, how can we make the new product, work better for you?

Bueller?

Bueller?

Still can't make an SE regional classified ad. As you can see it states that "you must select a thread prefix" but there is nowhere to do so.

The updates to the classifieds page have made it incredibly annoying to read. It's so uncomfortable and cluttered that I am not willing to go to the trouble to browse the classifieds. So your stupid "upgrades" have severely decreased the likelihood that I will buy from these forums and I'd imagine I'm not the only one.

Robb,

Is there an option somewhere that I can disable the sidebar search? Or at least where it can be permanently minimized vs. it being opened and then minimizing itself?

hey man, I am afraid that is not possible. I have had people report that they have lost the search pane and were unable to get it back. Unfortunately I do not know the steps they went through to 'lose' it in the first place.

Hey man. I can replicate your issue, but I have no idea as to the problem. Filing a ticket with support.

+1, not only that, the buyer has to eventually wait for a PM for a picture or an excuse that the part is still on the car and keeps everyone waiting...

Am I the only one that the Search feature on the side of the page doesn't work for? I've tried on two different machines, one mac, one windows. On my mac, it hangs in Safari, Firefox, and Chrome and never loads the page. In windows, It doesn't even show up in IE, and hangs Firefox and Chrome.

I already didn't like it since it takes up a huge portion of my screen, but now it's completely useless. I'll just use the regular search function and the find command and leave it collapsed.

I'd prefer to only use a mac, but i'm stuck with windows at work. I'll try it with one of my other macs at home and see if i get any different results. Maybe it's just windows sucking at work and my mini hackintosh being a problem.

It's no big deal really. I prefer to have it hidden and to browse everything anyway.
