Automatic Thread Subscriptions..

Just an Idea...

Is there a tool or can one be designed so you can receive Subscription Emails automatically for all new Threads Started???..

Yes I know how the Subscription works if you post a reply, or you can request it manually on a Thread that you have not yet replied to...

I am thinking of an OPTION in the 'User CP' which you can 'Check' to Automatically Receive emails for ANY NEW Thread Started.

Being Automatic if it is a thread you don't like you can manually Opt Out of the Subscription rather than the other way around..

I know on the rx-8club.com.au you can just click on "View New Posts" link and you get a list of all the new post's since your last log on or visit.

Possible Here???...or Not??..

Ash: click on the forum / subforum you want to follow.
towards the right, you'll see forum tools
click subscribe to forum.

I guess you could just do this for every forum and you'll be set!

bigbacon:
- click user / CP
- Edit Options
- Under Default Thread Subscription Mode click Daily notification

Moderators have this or similar facility why can't users???..

The Australian RX-8 forum is great...you just click on top right "View New Posts"
and you get all the post's since your last visit/log on.
