Kabura will be showcased at Australian International AutoShow

http://autoweb.drive.com.au/cms/A_10...wsarticle.html

Mazda Australia has announced they will showcase the acclaimed Kabura concept car at this year’s Australian International Motor Show in Sydney.

Forming part of a blockbuster lineup, the Kabura will share the stage with Mazda’s new crossover SUV, the CX-7, the diesel-powered Mazda6 and the new BT-50 truck range.
Its a month before LA. But also over the 7stock weekend. that might mean no Kabura at 7stock. bu tthis is yet anothe rclear sign that mazda is moving forward with an entry level coupe. they keep showing this concept everywhere they can while their other concepts of the past year gather dust somewhere.

If the Kabura will not be at Sevenstock. What else might they show us, surely not the CX-9 Sevenstock is mostly a sports car event...so show more sports cars yes?

No doubt, but hopefully it'll look better, sell better, and accelerate better. The little V6 was sweet but woefully underpowered.

what?! I thought Bern had said it was looking good for the Kabura to be at SS9. Hmm, guess we'll have to wait and see what they've got for us next month.

However I still find it amazing that they pushed 170hp out of the 2.5L, thats the same hp figure as cars today equipped with engine with 2.5L of displacement.
144hp for the 1.8L!!!

Funny, I read in my local News Ltd paper that Mazda are to show the Senku at AIMS,

Perhaps Zoom you guys might get to look over the SENKU at Sevenstock if its not here instead of the Kabura?

pre-run production model perhaps......!!!

With a rotary engine under the hood!!!....

I will go with MX-7 only because MX-3 as a model name has been used before, Mazda generally does not reuse a name (export models) after a car has been discontinued.....

just confirmed - no Kabura at 7stock. thats straight from the source.

im still hoping for a near production ready vehicle based on the Kabura to debut at LA. a sneak peek at that at 7stock would be really really cool- but unlikely given the timing.

Ajax's head is visible to the left of the guy in the yellow Gap sweatshirt. Rootski is the guy wearing the "I am the stig" t-shirt.
