$26,000 + taxes and tags. New GT 05 HELP!

I've been talking with this guy for about a month on and off. It's for a manual, brand new 2005 rx8 in pearl white, GT package, and appearance package.

I can't get him to go any lower ($26,000) but I don't have many if at all other dealerships with a new 05 in pearl. Is there any way I could get it lower? Any suggestions/methods?

I saw a similar car without the appearance package go for 24,500. That's the price I am looking for, ideally.

Thanks,
the noob in distress

Wait until the last day of the month and make your final offer. Sometimes dealers like to deal on the last day of the month to close the month with higher sales figures.

Off him the $24,500, if he does not accept it, go to the sales manager and deal directly with him. I'm surprised since it's an 05 and a new year is quickly approaching, they should want to move this fast.

What dealership are you trying to get this deal at? is the 26k before or after taxes? What is the MSRP of the car? And what Anthony says is pretty much on the dot, if you wait until the end of the month you could probably get a little more off.

I'm trying to buy from Hamilton Mazda in New Jersey. The offer is 26,000 + "tags and taxes" The MSRP on the car is 33605.00.

Yea, the whole idea behind trying to get a new 05 is in the hope that they just want to get rid of the car, but it seems like no luck so far :/
