What Is Better Than A GTO? 2 Of Course!

I have had my GTO for a little under a month now. I am up to 1,100 miles right now and everyone of them is awesome. Everytime I come home from college, my dad steals it and takes it out. Guess you could say I converted him into the GTO crowd. He didn't really want me to buy it because he thought it wasn't stylish enough. Obviously he is a fan now. Maybe too much of a fan.

Three days ago he bought his own. 2006 Torrid Red with Red Leather six speed manual. He didn't really even talk it over with my mom...

Now we have two GTO's in the driveway when I come home. I know some of you will say, "congrats on the ugly cavaliers." To you, I don't give a rats *** because obviously I love the car and wouldn't trade it for anything else its price. Everyone else who has seen it in person and ridden in it feels the same way.

Mine is the black one. Both are 6 speed manuals with red leather interior. My dad got 18 inch wheels. I have 17, but plan on going aftermarket soon. I just finished putting the red decal on the back as well.

Enjoy:

Awesome.Nice pics.Tell dad congrats. So when's mom getting hers? hahaha.

I really like the inlay. The red looks sweet on the black.
Oh and I think I gotta get me some of the '06 taillights. I think they'd look awesome on my yellow.

Yea, mom is on deck now. At least she better be or my dad will have to learn how to cook...

On ls1gto.com they have sponsors that sell the 06 tails. Dunno how much they are, but I heard the install is cheap. Did you put the inlays in yet?

Oh, almost forgot, what color do you think the graphics should be for my dad? I guess the same color red as mine? He kinda committed to the whole red every where thing. Why stop now right?

Well I started the inlay's but got sidetracked so I stopped. I have some spare time tomorrow I think I'll try then.

As far as dads...I'd stay with the red as far as the inlay. The only other color that would go well would be black, but I think it may be too dark imo.

hmmm..200 bucks for the '06 tails. Might be my next mod. I need to find some pics of other yellows with them first.

Meh, it's black. Also it is next to my dads perfect brand new and detailed red one. After I get it washed and waxed I'll take better pictures. In person it looks a lot cleaner.

Mom is slowly getting over it. She is next in line for whatever sissy hybrid or SUV she wants. It is actually really easy to get the Holden badges and even body parts to put on the GTO. Some people have done full conversions even.

We had GMS, conquest, and zero percent finance. This is my first black car and I don't think I will ever get another color. Red and Black is a dream!

Was it a crazy good looking older gentleman with a full head of hair (grey hair with huge forehead) that was smiling from ear to ear every time he shifted?

Just messing. Parents house is in Newport Beach. Where exactly is orangethorpe?

Those new 18s look infinitely better than the 17s they've had since the beginning. What ugly wheels!!!! I'm glad you're going aftermarket as you'll improve the look of your car 10 fold instantly.
