Oh I hear ya man. I'm looking around for some 17 or 18 inch black with a chrome lip. If you have any suggestions on what will fit let me know.

I'm thinking about putting a decent amount of money into modding this car. Nothing crazy, but some wheels, maybe tint, and possible a navigation/car computer.

I really like the inlay. The red looks sweet on the black.
Oh and I think I gotta get me some of the '06 taillights. I think they'd look awesome on my yellow.
The 06 lights look awesome from the back, but I hate hate hate hate hate hate hate hate hate the way they look all ricer-y from the side. That's one of my few complaints about the GTOs. I say stick with the reds.

Damn, that looks great baron. I really like the stock spoiler. The rims look awesome though, I will check out the volks. Also, I can't believe anything sounding better than the stock exhaust. Maybe it gets more power, but the burbles and WOT sound is insane!

Those rims look sick!

Oh, the sound gets MUCH better. Anyone who has heard a Vette with an awesome exhaust system should know this. It just enhances the chunky sound of the V8 - I had a video of a GTO with a modded exhaust when I was deciding between the 8 and the GTO, it sounded AMAZING. I still want my GTO, damnit! Stupid insurance companies.

Edit: Found a video of a GTO with headers and exhaust - GTO Exhaust

Oh lordy, those backfires! Drooool...

actually i think your dad should get black decals for the 'GTO' lettering, it'll look good with the blacked out taillights, and not looking 'too red'

Doesn't matter what kind of car you have - if you're thinking about making an exhaust video, take notes while you watch this one. This is exactly how you should do it. Great video.

Your Dad's car is exactly like my car... even though I have an '05, I put the '06 taillights on it. I did remove the spoiler from mine. Have you thought about going spoilerless?

damn thats a lot of power in that drive way, what a nice family set. I think the GTO are great looking cars but just a littl plain. the interior does make up for it though. They remind me of the supras, long simple lines but they have a lower looking profile. get soem better pictures up!

The parking brake looks like worst case scenario erectile disfunction.

I like the spoiler on it. I don't really have enough money to do any performance mods. Just a little apperance mods will be fine. The power is beyond good enough.

Uh, that is because it is pulled up. The brakes are set. Have you seen the RX-8 e-brake? Looks like a damn ejector handle. Of all the things to gripe about you pick the e-brake?

Yeah, I looked at them too (albeit the 5.7) and I was shocked at the cost of insurance. I barely paid more for the 8 than I would have for a 6.

Don't worry nzarnow, many 8 owners just have power envy.... including me!

I really like the GTO's but I was wondering if all the new one's have the same flaw on the rear bumper just below the "GTO". I mean the slight sag in the plastic. I noticed it today when I was checking them out at the local dlr. I see yours does not have the sag. One of them at the dlr looked like someone ran over something that caught the rear bumper upon exit.

Wow, that would suck! I have not seen that yet. That dealer must just abuse their cars.

Is the red GTO lettering on your car stock? It looks awful...

Anyhow, you and you dad have fun with the GTOs. They're nice cars, I considered one when I got my Evo.

I still don't understand that. What is wrong with having seats that are really comfortable and hold you in place?

Well, there's the first person not to like the red lettering on the back. It's not stock. I bought the inlays and put them on. What don't you like about it? I think it looks awesome in person.

I like the inlay. It's a far cry better than the bland stock look.

I like the look of the inserts... I'm thinking light silver (basically sunlight silver) would be the way to go against the dark gray on a red car. Matches the emblems.
